God wants you to become confident in His great love for you. He says that you are His priceless treasure, that He cares immensely about your suffering, and that all the misery He’s put you through so far is about preparing you to experience His best. Where you’re at now, all of this sounds pretty meaningless, yet it is true nonetheless. How do we emotionally connect with truths that sound too good to be true? By practicing those truths; by rehearsing them over and over again until they finally sink in.

Annita, sweetheart, can you make up your fucking mind?. Is God predetermining our lives, yes or not? Is he having fun torturing us or he loves us unconditionally?
He's never told me this, he hasn't even had the manners to make my acquaintance in person.
So, people born with silver spoons in their mouths, who are pampered and coddled all their lives, who suffer very little are being prepared to experience His worst?
If something sounds to good to be true, it usually is.
@Swede
"If something sounds to good to be true, it usually is."
Are you saying if something sounds too good to be true it usually is true?
Surely you mean "If something sounds too good to be true, it usually isn't ."

And now, at this resolution, from one microscopic speck that is planet orbiting one microscopic spec that is a sun in a galaxy like one of the many pictured here, amplified two hundred million billion times ... and still not audible in the vacuum of space... the words of an infinitesimally tinier, insignificant spec named Anna Diehl: "I'M SPESHUL!"

The saying means that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. As in, it's a lie.

I believe what Swede was trying to say was "if something SOUNDS too good to be true, it usually IS too good to be true", i.e. it would be false.
Edit: Sniped by Doubting Thomas, never mind. :)
"He says that you are His priceless treasure"
Because he needs someone to treat like worthless dirt to justify his overly-gigantic ego.
"that He cares immensely about your suffering"
Because he's the one causing it.
"and that all the misery He’s put you through so far is about preparing you to experience His best."
"His best" being even worse misery than he's already put you through, because endless, likely contradictory testing is better than playing by the rules he apparently set out in the first place.

Yeah, no. Repeating something over and over again doesn't make it true, it's just brainwashing and indoctrination. What if those truths you're indoctrinating yourself with aren't actually true, and you end up being out-of-touch and refusing to consider the fact that every glimpse of reality proves your entire worldview wrong?
Oh, wait.

'Annie' here had better not watch the anime series "Heroic Age" then, if she knows what's good for her; as the Golden Tribe created everything , then even her 'God' is an irrelevance.
...oh, and thank you for admitting your a Confucian, 'Annie': It was Confucius who gave us the sage advice 'If something sounds too good to be true: it is . '
And for a Sage, he certainly knew his onions , that ancient Chinese chap.
Just ask the Master Baiters at 419eater.com . What they do to all those 'Lads' in Africa, one could almost feel sorry for them, re. what they'll sink to doing just in the hope of 'succeeding' with their scams. Almost.
They clearly have no concept of Confucius in Nigeria etc.

No, that's deluding yourself, you sick Calvinistic piece of shit.

No wonder then, that she is part of the real Trinity, along with Haruhi Suzumiya and Bettie Page, 'Annie'.
