Biblical world view: If that evidence contradicts the Bible it must be destroyed so no one can challenge us.
Secular world view: To hell with what religion says we're going to find out the truth by understanding reality.

No, of course, not. That's why people justify the inconsistencies of the Bible(like Speaking snakes or people living 900 years or women appearing out of nowhere, like Caine's wife)with the fact that "The Bible isn't a science book"

Bible says that water is separate from the clouds. They hold water that will fall like rain, and God’s direct hand is needed so they won’t rip apart from the weight.
"Theistic science" is best described as obscurantism. Fundamentalist adherents reject reality whenever they consider that a particular interpretation of a particular verse written by ancient humans is perceived as conflicting. Instead of dealing with cognitive dissonance with critical thinking, evidence assessment and knowledge development, they enforce dogma and ignorance by demonizing knowledge and reliable information sources and education. They claim that humans have no right to explore the world when an ancient human is perceived to have dictated how the world works. They claim that ancient ignorant humans knew better, despite the contradictory evidence. They claim that their claims were of divine origin, without evidence. They rely on false misleading authorities. Thus, reality denial including all the strong evidence and the best explanations on many topics. Often in a context of manipulation for segregation and exploitation. Gods of the gaps to maintain a simplist magical view of the world.
