@yertul: That's just asinine. Muslims, like Christians, are a diverse groups. You have bigots and tolerant people in both, and you can't kick someone out of the country because of your own prejudices.
I've been in the cab business, you end up getting people in your car that you don't like. So did this guy refuse to pick up guide dogs because dogs are filthy according to Islam? Did he refuse to pick up drunks because alcohol is forbidden in Islam? Did he refuse to pick up single women because a woman shouldn't be alone with a man that she's not related to? What about people with groceries? What if they had bought a nice ham steak? I suspect we may have the poorest cab driver in North America right here.
As for Gaylord here. Attacking all Muslims because of one cabbie is just as asinine as me judging all gay men because of the drunks who used to call me 'fish'. You wouldn't really appreciate that would you.
Then again I've always found it strange that victims of intolerance can be really intollerant themselves. When you point this out though, they say it's different because the bigotry against them is just stereotypes, whereas the bigotry they're spouting is the 'truth'.
Yes, there are many intolerant christians and many good muslims, sure. But Islam places especially little value on the individual and its rights, and that's a huge problem.

He's mostly talking about 'he' and his family (I'll give you that). Frankly I don't have a problem with him calling an obviously bigoted religious nutcase a 'rag-head'...had it been a christian we'd had enough people here talking about 'red-neck this', 'bad-shit-crazy-that', 'shove that bible up your ass' etc.
I've noted this time after time on this board. When Muslims commit the most attrocious of crimes or say the vilest or stupidest things for religious reasons people seem to feel they need to down-play it, compare it to Christianity or outright claim it wasn't a really a Muslim to begin with....
How hard is it to understand that there is a religion our there that contains all that is wrong with fundamentalist Christianity and some?

I'm not pro-Islam, in fact I despise it. If he had simply attacked Islam I would be fine with it. I'm all for attacking people's religion and religious beliefs, but Gaylord didn't even address Islam itself. He called him a "rag-head" that crawled out of the desert, that should be kicked out of America and wished violence on him and his "filthy family". Sorry, it just reeks of prejudice IMO.

@Pheds: If you're not the kind of person to think racist things when you're NOT angry, racism isn't the first thing that springs to mind when you ARE angry. Anger removes filters, but it doesn't create beliefs that aren't there.
(Not to mention it's EXTREMELY unlikely that a Middle Eastern person, even an angry gay anti-Muslim one, would call another Middle Eastern person a rag-head. This sounds like a probably white asshat thinking his gayness justifies xenophobia. Typical fauxgressive shit, nothing to see here.)
As for the cab driver, yes, he is ALSO a fundie asshat, but he shouldn't be deported. Economics will punish him soon enough anyway.

No, it's not just middle eastern. I'm black and I can't STAND black Muslims like Malcom X, Louis Farrakahn (or however the fuck you spell his name), Nation of Islam, etc. These people run around advocating violence and hatred for other races, totally against the spirit of Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights movement. It's ironic, but the one thing that can actually unite blacks, whites, Christians, Jews, Catholics, and everyone is the fact the Muslims hate us all. My white friends all can see this but very few of my black friends have woken up to this yet, except for a few at my church, which preaches against Islamic heresy. We've got a common enemy out to get us and take away our freedom, and we don't have time to be hating on each other! LOL
