I think the big difference is that, when DNA research is able to objectively and without doubt state the intelligence and capacities of an individual, people will be classified and assigned jobs per their capacities.
Right now we can all accept the 'feel good message' of "you can do whatever you want" and I could even say that in a way we live in a society that really doesn't block you from thriving and reaching wherever you can. But once this science is matured and treated as known facts, then castes might be explicit. Even, I'm thinking that culturally, the western world is going down, and who's rising? China, Asian culture, and I think this is more prone to castes, so if China becomes the hegemonic nation, our "I can be whatever I want" goes bye bye.

Not going to happen. Genetic determinism is falsified nonsense. In reality, each of us is the product of a complex interplay of nature and nurture - of course, our genes affect our development, but so do many other factors. such as nutrition, mental stimulation and exposure to disease.
As a biologist, I cannot overstate my hatred of this kind of bio-woo.

One is never going to trully excel in a job unless one's heart is invested in it.

And this is a bad thing how?
But once this science is matured and treated as known facts,
As I said above, that would be "never".
then castes might be explicit.
Castes. As in a form of hereditary stratification. Because no one has ever had different talents and interests than their parents.
Even, I'm thinking that culturally, the western world is going down
It isn't.

China is a colossus on feet of clay. Authoritarianism and exploitation are not substainable, and the government is already struggling harder and harder to keep up their oppressive regime.
And undoubtfully, this idiot, who seems to believe that humans are nothing but some kind of fleshy robot, assumes that he would be among the philosopher kings.

You gammas will all be driving elevators.
castes
A word that gives me funny associations, since the Norwegian word for 'caste' is 'kaste', which also means 'to throw'.
So, a caste system is one where people are thrown around?
"Intelligence and capacity" maybe, to some extent. But mere aptitude is not enough, or we would let the nation's third-grade teachers decide what that child would grow up to do. A person's training and education and tenacity and dedication are not genetic factors.
Intelligence is much to complex to be determined with DNA, dolt. If you're stupid enough to think something like that, you'll be "classified" fairly low on the rung.
The science you want is not mature, it's festering. Phrenology and racial biology are both debunked, dismantled, discarded, disgusting. There are no known fact, it's all prejudices and bigotry.
Unless you're going to add Brave New World-style pervasive brainwashing, the result would be widespread misery, because you need not only the genetics, but also the training and the desire to succeed in any particular role. A caste system can give you the training, but making a person want something is a horse of a different color.

Minbari Castes: Worker, Warrior & Religious.
Yet, all equal in the future scenario of "Babylon 5".
The Vorlons manipulated the 'Younger Races': including Humans. One reason was to create telepaths to use against the Shadows in a future war against them. Psi Corps.
They thought they were better than we mere 'Mundanes'.
But you can be what you want in China: even someone who make fake iPhones. Can you say 'Shenzhen', Luis?
Who's probably using one: or at least a computer with Chinese-made components.
Even, I'm thinking that culturally, the western world is going down, and who's rising? China
Odd, it's fact that technologically, one those countries going up in Gene Therapy research, and who's Atheist?
China.
OmniCorp took what was left of Murphy and rebuilt him as Robocop in the remake of that film. Where was their advanced Cybernetic Research division situated?
How do you know there isn't some heavy-duty shit like that going down in that country: or elsewhere in Asia...?! [/Masamune Shirow]
True meritocracy doesn't come from a DNA test. It comes from a person's ability to achieve. Intelligence doesn't mean a person is a type A achiever or even able to perform in a typical work environment. In fact, if the highest pay was automatically granted to the person with the highest IQ, it would likely go to a person with autism who was completely unable to communicate meaningfully with another person. The fact is, the achievers are those who learned how to work for the their goals and find satisfaction in doing so. That doesn't require exceptional intelligence. It requires desire and diligence. Those are things not expressed in DNA. They are developed via nurture, not nature.
