Why do European and Negro Scholars in mainstream academia continue to run with the claim that Homosexuality existed among indigenous Africans prior to foreign contact.
I have yet to see legitimate untainted archeological anthropological and oral sources that detail homosexuality being practiced among our ancestors prior to colonization. Even RAPE was virtually unheard of in Africa prior to colonization.
So the question is why do these so called scholars keep running with this BLATANT LIE?
THEY ARE TRYING TO PUSH AN AGENDA!!

I've holidayed in Fiji. Slept in remote island small communities. I learnt something there. Not all the natives have been turned twisted, bitter and contemptuous of their modernity.

Natives I know understood that their grand parents were cannibals, often cruel, deeply superstitious.

Believe it or not some people think of the discipline and self respect of the early missionary days as their genuine spiritual deliverance from a dark ages.

I know its not all one way, black and white.
But there was a deep darkness in many a place. I don't think you'd be all that comfortable with human sacrifice ceremonies of the Aztecs, Mayans. It might just be disturbing.

I put it here. If you sat in on some of the torture dungeons in middle suburb North America, you might just think - Nuke it, take them all out,, start again.

Actually, well said brother Mfon. All throughout history, homosexuality has been a weapon used to tear down and destroy thriving cultures. We know now that the Soviet Union had wanted homosexuality to flourish in America in order to undermine and ruin us, while they, meanwhile, cultivated highly masculine soldiers and sent their homosexuals to prison camps.

We are in the midst of a massive push by those who hate our people to introduce homosexuality into the black community. Blacks as a whole have not been as welcoming of homosexuals as other groups in the United States or abroad. Our men have remained masculine and refused to cave in to metrosexual trends, and we still hold to our Christian (and in some cases Muslim) faith. Since the civil rights movement, the white and Jewish communities in particular have been fearful of the potential for black success in America, so they have launched a strategic campaign to corrupt and ruin our youth with rap music, drugs, gang violence and now homosexuality. We need prayers. We must pray for each other and ask others (including our white Christian brothers and sisters) to pray for our people.

You know what, I partially agree with you there. Stopping human sacrfices was a good idea. But then there's also all those other things. Having your culture basically killed, forced conversions to a different religion, the forced acceptance of foreign authority all the while it's very clear that they don't think you're worth as much for your skin color.
Sure, white people and christians brought a lot, science, medicine, writing and education, but they also took a lot, entire cultures, societies or at least what makes them, religions and ways of life were exterminated.
If all these would have happend peacefully as a slow conversion caused by missionaries in these countries and not with brutal military force and favoritism, it wouldn't have been this bad. It happened this way in Korea, into which until 1903 only a few Westernes had access to, and so the ancestors of the 40% of South Koreans that are Christians today were converted by other Koreans, Koreans that had visited China and had converted there and saw it as a calling to convert Korea to Christianity. Nobody today complains about that.
You know what the difference is that and let's say Fiji? There wasn't any violence used, only words and so to the 40% of Buddhists in Korea, there culture is still intact. They still have their food, they still have their language, they still have their government(s).

this is the point really. There is a great lack of evidence of homosexual living among first people contact groups. One of the "last first" contact groups was in the Amazon Basin.

The accounts suggest a Western anthropologist himself took homosexual actions into a community that had never heard of or thought of it. The story of Amber going to the grocery store naked is among the most charming true stories in the last 100 years. The Yanomami seem to be more the rule rather than the exception.

Gay just wasn't there.

I've struggled and struggled with this. Gay is a combination of things and behaviors, involving society/ healthy practices/ spiritual conditions. Its all three with jagged edges not easily traced.

I think this quote by a gay African scholar should clear things up for you.

Here's a note to every troll who ever wanted to piss me off: Easiest way to do that is to misinterpret Star Trek.

It's easy for culturally illiterate troglodytes like yourself to react to something new and different as though it were some sort of personal attack, but if you put aside the paranoia and the default hostility towards the specter of so-called "political correctness" and dare to question your own assumptions, you might find something in that word, "one," that is worth appreciating.

Imagine for a moment that you're a member of a group comprising just over half of the entire human race, and furthermore that your group, nominally a majority, has virtually no representation in any positions of power, whether in governance, the clergy, culture, etc. Further still, imagine that your religious leaders not only refuse to consider the merest possibility that one of you might contribute something more valuable to the human race than those leaders' own bodily odors, but have actually encoded it in the articles of their faith that you are literally property, bought and sold the same way that cattle are. And if you'll permit me to overuse the word "further" once more, imagine that the very language you and your contemporaries use itself speaks to this cartoonish disparity of power. You might, if you had a brain inside that Turing machine of half-remembered lit class quotations, have a little empathy for such a people.

Now let's flash forward a few hundred years. Progress! People no longer laugh when you venture an opinion, and some of your group have even managed to take positions of leadership. If you trust Cleon Skousen, then you believe that, despite all the actual evidence, President Eisenhower was an active Soviet agent. The Naked Communist is no more trustworthy than Loose Change; it is more interesting as an artefact in the history of conspiracy theory.

The Naked Communist is a simple update of the Red Scare of the 1930s and the rhetoric of some of the more extreme Isolationists before Pearl Harbor, just taking out the words "Jew" and "British" and leaving "Communist" from the list of who controls everything; it even has the idea of communist control of big business so beloved of Father Coughlin and his Nazi friends. Had we trusted Cleon Skousen, who was pressing for engaging the Soviets in nuclear combat, it is fair to say there might be little left of the Western world today.

There are cultural differences in medicine between the two countries you mention, not just in diagnoses but also in treatment. (I've done no independant research on the issue; the foregoing was according to an article I read on the Internet.)
I can't usefully comment on the relative distribution of alleles predisposing to ADHD between the two countries. I've seen no relevant data.
As to your query about who might 'profit' from a worlfview devoid of sociological causality, I couldn't venture to suggest any names.
By the way, you don't need to put quote marks around the word 'profit' when speaking of non-financial gain.
Personally I don't believe any two people experience the same culture. Have you read the work of Stephen Pinker?
He seems to me to be claiming that evidence based research shows that, barring unusual rare specified exceptions, sociological causality is non-existant in the formation of a person's character. Interesting stuff. It's always interesting and rewarding to have our preconceptions challenged.
