To begin with, the global flood waters are still on earth.
Two thirds of the world is covered in water.
There were no oceans pre-flood.
God altered the world's topography to accomodate life on earth after the flood.

Well, I seem to recall the bible talking alot about the waters on earth pre-flood. So there were oceans, seas, rivers, and the like, all before the flood. Now, if you'd actually read the bible you claim to have faith in, you might come to the conclusion the rest of of have, and realize that it's all a bunch of bullshit.
"God altered the world's topography to accomodate life on earth after the flood."
But, the babble says there was life already, right? How was there life with no accommodations for it?
"There were no oceans pre-flood."
Then where was the water on the pre-flood planet Earth, and where did it originate? I'd suggest a class in geology, Luther. This stuff really isn't hard to understand.
There were no oceans pre-flood.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:2
There were no oceans pre-flood.
"6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. 9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas : and God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so." (Genesis 1:6-11)
Seriously, have you ever even read your own holy book?
Here's the thing. I understand that this Biblical flood is insanely important to the fundie world view. In fact it's the most important thing to them besides the Fall.
But the thing I've noticed is that when fundies are confronted by and forced to explain the absurdity of the Flood, that their apologetics merely end up making it more convoluted and absurd, to the point that I wonder if it would actually make more sense if the flood never happened.
And that's why I don't believe in the Bible.
There were no oceans pre-flood.
"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep . And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters ."
We're only on Genesis 2 and already the Bible says Luther_Wesley-Baxter is full if shit.
@Porky Pine
The Book of Genesis does try to explain how plants grew without rain.
2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground
Genesis 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
From the very first page of your big book of fairytales. Sheesh! You fundies aren't even pretending to have some familiarity with the Bible any more.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (Gen 1:1)
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. (Gen 1:6)
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. (Gen 1:10)
Soooooo there were no oceans pre-flood?
I know it's a crappy story,,, but I'd have thought you might read at least the first 10 verses of your book.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
