[idiot talking about the new Indiana Jones movie]
Just curious if anyone else felt the eeriness of the Genesis 6 storyline in the movie. What is with Spielberg and his consistent portrayal of the aliens in his movies? Close Encounters, A.I. and now IJ and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull all have the same ending...the same alien type and ship, etc. I couldn't help but wonder after the movie if the Enemy is using him, in part, to condition the world for the return of the days of Noah. Especially the whole point at the end about the "treasure" not being gold, but in fact being "knowledge". That was a direct reference back to Genesis 3, which was "The Lie" that started it all. I just thought it was interesting.
One thing is for sure...I am glad the Church is outta here before the Nephalim return and reveal themselves.

Maybe he has some opinions on what he expects aliens to look like. Or maybe it's just easier than inventing new aliens all the time.

Once again proving that religious fundies are entirely incapable of considering the simplest explanation for any happening. Ponder on this: Maybe Spielberg has fallen victim to the mindless non-creativity that has engulfed Hollywood. Let's not forget that this new Indiana Jones movie is a sequel (4th in the series) to a movie that came out somewhere around 20+ years ago.
Once again, a fundamentalist demonstrates his utter incapability to discern fact from fiction.
I shouldn't be surprised, he believes in the rapture, and it isn't even scriptural.
Here's gawd's lie:
Genesis 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die
Here's satan's truth:
Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Nice, lying, motherfucker your gawd is.
hehe, I'm getting good at this.
I can allready spot the RR-fundie in only two lines of text, without looking at the source.
Now to determine wether that's good or really, really sad....
" I couldn't help but wonder after the movie if the Enemy is using him, in part, to condition the world for the return of the days of Noah."
Don't worry, God said that he'd never again flood the Earth, so a return to the days of Noah would put us in no danger.
Unless God changes his mind, which he seems to do throughout the Bible....
I'm sure George Lucas also had a hand in adding aliens to the plot.
What do aliens have to do with your damn religion anyway?
The idea that knowledge is valuable is not exactly original to Christianity (hell, given the fact that God punished us for gaining it, the opposite theme seems to supported by your scripture).
And where do you get the idea that the Nephilim are coming back? Citation?
They've never forgiven him for "Shindlers List" after all we KNOW Christian are the most percecuted.
Besides, we KNOW this is a story. Like,,, oh,,lemme think ,,er, THE NELPHLIM?
"One thing is for sure...I am glad the Church is outta here before the Nephalim return and reveal themselves."
Yes, that sure is a relief. I find myself thanking God for that fortuitous miracle every day.
It could be that Spielberg has an imagination and can separate fact from fiction; he probably also has more faith in humanity than I do because I he probably assumes his audience can discern between fact and fiction as well.
Of course, he forgot to separate fundies into their own category. Or, he didn't give a rats ass and is happy to let you create something out of nothing.
I've read this little theory about a million times, usually it suggests he's some kind of Illuminati puppet, though. But I don't get it, a lot of directors have recurring themes in their work, or make movies primarily of a specific type - why is it Spielberg who is the only one everybody singles out? He has also made movies about killer sharks, robotic children, and dinosaurs, what crazy end-times conditioning do you see there?
Ps - psst! I heard Shyamalan also works for the Enemy, OMG Signs was a warning!
Or maybe Spielberg and Shyamalan just make movies about stuff they're interested in? Crazy, I know.
"Especially the whole point at the end about the "treasure" not being gold, but in fact being "knowledge"."
I also think that was a plot from a MacGyver movie... meaning Richard Dean Anderson is the Antichrist? Or the next Noah??
"after the movie if the Enemy is using him, in part, to condition the world for the return of the days of Noah."
Only in part. Most of the devil's funding for desensitizing human slaves to their nephelim masters' plans goes to the writers of Pinocchio.
Don't people like these complain about the "immorality" of G-rated Disney films, too? Way to ruin the movies for us, bastards. Go play with your shadow puppets and leave us sane people the hell alone.
On an unrelated side note, the only sign M. Night Shyalaman's movies have is this: "Do Not Watch".
This fundy has given us a good example of what i call the "they are getting us ready" fantasy. It is simalar to the "promoter fantisy"
Fundys often believe that some evil satan aligned group are promoting things like homosexuality or satanisim. With the they are getting us ready fantisy christians are being
Subtily prepaired for some evil occurance. Things such as recieving the mark of the beast or some kind of enslavement.
The ultamate source is satan.
Holywood is frequently implicated.
In this case it steven spealburg.
Steven must have biweekly meatings with the devil to hear the infernal agenda.
Fundys often talk about what THEY
Are doing.
Nefalim means something like the fallen ones in hebrew.
You just know that if aliens ever do make contact, these morons will start going on about how they shouldn't have the right to do x y and z. I'm picturing a future where fundies are trying to prevent Jane Q. marrying her girlfriend not because it would be a gay marriage but because her girlfriend has blue skin and four arms.
The actual attempts to connect movies to Biblical stories reveal two things about Rapturites
They're useless at connecting stories, always the vagueist similarities pulled from either and always a swing and a miss.
And they've never read the Bible. Context matters people.
These jokers will deny the real connections of Babalonial myth to their Bible yet pretend all stories since are influenced from the Bible.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
