The use of the word evolution is given to the natural world when there is a rejection of the creator. Darwin made the word evolution popular when he doubted then rejected God, even though Darwin still had not given a reason why the universe exists.

Say what?
"Darwin made the word evolution popular when he doubted then rejected God, even though Darwin still had not given a reason why the universe exists."
Why should he give a reason to the existence of the universe?
Yeah, and what was with that douchebag way back when who said the Earth orbited the Sun when he couldn't tell us why it did it and how they got there!
Man, look how wrong he was. Dummies should have a unifying theory for everything in every field before giving us any evidence or facts. Pft.
Then again, considering the massive evidence we have for evolution, via fossils, genetics, minor observed changes, virus evolution and bacteria evolution and these idiots still deny it, I guess there's not much we can do.
The word 'evolution' is used in the natural world when an organism (plant or animal) evolves.
Darwin was never an atheist.
In 1879 a letter came asking if he believed in God, and if theism and evolution were compatible. He replied that a man "can be an ardent Theist and an evolutionist", citing Charles Kingsley and Asa Gray as examples, and for himself, he had "never been an Atheist in the sense of denying the existence of a God ." He added that "I think that generally (and more and more as I grow older), but not always, that an Agnostic would be a more correct description of my state of mind. "
Also, the Theory of Evolution has absolutely nothing to do with the origins of the universe or life.
It, (the universe), exists. There is not always reason in all things, as is evidenced in your own set of outlandish beliefs.
Why "creation"? An omnipotent, omniscient being has no reason whatever to create humanity as the shining example of his/her creative force, given what humanity is and does. If there were a creative force, directing things from on high, don't you think he'd do a little more smiting of such hypocritical assholes such as yourself?
Your self-righteousness is sad. Your ignorance is appalling.
1 Yep, fundie word redefinition. Only fundies claim evolution is used a proof that there is no God.
2 Fundie career redefinition, since when was Darwin cosmologist?
Evolution doesn't explain why the Universe exists, it doesn't explain why life exists, it basically assumes that those things already existed by some force. Darwin did give up the notion of the Christian God despite his status as an ordained minister and his wife's devout faith, but he did die a deist, believing in some intelligent force guided the Universe.
Also, Darwin, like all biologists was a naturalist. He was looking for natural explanation for why life on Earth is so diverse. But here's the kicker he wasn't the only one at the time. Years before him another theory of evolution was submitted. Hell the earliest idea of evolution goes back to the Greeks. I am quite confident that if Darwin never created his theory of natural selection, some other guy would have. Quite possibly in the same decade.
Confused?
