Sure sounds like the Wiccan 'power of three' to me. And no one can say it's purely coincidental, since shows like 'Charmed' (which emphasize the above number of witches as being 'effective') make that highly unlikely.

So you're taking your spiritual lessons from Carrol? Good, he was a mathematician with a firm respect for the scientific method. There may be hope for Whosoever yet.

Does this also sound wiccan?
One of the huge problems I have with certain people on RR is that they find some hidden message within anything numerical. Can't possibly be coincidental, right? And, if it involves three, it turns to six, which then turns to 666, then everyone is speculating and fussing over something that started out as a FIGMENT of someone's imagination. Then if it is pointed out, "Hey that's not biblical" Someone will inevitably try to find something from the bible to force the fit. Then it will eventually be forgotten about and some new fear will take its place, and the beat goes on...
How do you find the energy to function when you think this way?

Far as I know, the number of effective witches is however many show up. At least, 3 are no LESS effective than 5, 8, 13, square root of the zip code…
