Actually, to reject God’s Word is the height of arrogance – as if your mind is in a position to judge the Almighty’s Word. However, God is in a position to judge everyone’s character. It is God who claims that everyone knows Him, but many suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18-20). If you disagree, then you are claiming to be smarter than God

if the bible is the word of god, than since the bible contain false claims, it is possible for many people to be smarter than god.
however, if something is the word of god, god should say it himself and not via others.
"If you disagree, then you are claiming to be smarter than God."
OF COURSE! CEASE YOUR BLASPHEMY OF THE GREAT PRIMUS, MORTAL!
No, I think for a believer, actually trying to INTERPRET and DEFINE "god's word" would have to be at the top of the arrogance list. Fortunately, I don't suffer under that handicap of faith.
Ok, I realize that presuppositionalists are, to quote their own book, "willfully ignorant", but I'll give it a shot anyway. As an atheist, I don't claim to be smarter than Yahweh, as I do not believe that that character exists. I am, however, much smarter than the MEN like Paul or "Moses" (if he really existed at all) who pretended to speak for Yahweh. It is them whom I am calling a liar. This, by the way, would be true even if your war god really did exist.
And I love the irony of a man who claims everybody who ever lived agrees with him by default talking about arrogance. I take it that a comprehension of irony is a sin?
If I look at some of the pointless and cruel actions taken by bible-god, then, yeah, I think the average 5th-grader is smarter than that character.
"It is God who claims that everyone knows Him..."
Wouldn't that be the height or arrogance?
"...you are claiming to be smarter than God"
Well, duh. I can count to six and tell that bats aren't birds. I can also generate a moral system better than "do what I say, or I'll hurt you".
Actually, belief without valid evidence is the height of gullibility.

I'm claiming to be smarter than the desert-dwelling goat herders who invented him.
To pretend knowing what "God Wants" is the height of arrogance - as if your mind is in a position to judge the "Almighty's Word" of disputable origin. (Fixed).
Because only God can judge hearts, mere mortal humans shouldn't judge them out of their own pride and arrogance. (Fixed).
Therefore there's no point in Jason's hypocritical bigotry, but it exposes a lot about him and his pretension to speak for God. (Fixed).
Eugenie Scott defending public education against its corruption by this kind of crackpot, is noble.
Confused?
