From the providers, to the political protectors to the media cheerleaders, they all profit from the killing of humans too defenseless in their temporary environment. These "tissues have beating hearts, feel pain and will be nothing else but human beings. Our hope and only hope is to assign personhood to these small people and legislate that personhood so they have the same rights as the rest of us outside the womb

It’s always easier to convince yourself that the people on the other side of an issue are just Eeeeeeevvvvviiiilll! That way you don’t have to admit to yourself that maybe they could have valid points. (Oh, and you yourself are always the Good one, by default

If a physician wanted to get rich, that isn't the branch of medicine he would go into. The more legal barriers you erect, the later people will have abortions. If you want to alleviate pain, make sure all abortions are performed early, before there's a brain to feel pain. If you REALLY want fewer abortions, make sure to fully fund Planned parenthood so they can provide contraceptive care to all who need it, along with providing other female medical care. If your not already doing that, then you are just saying empty words, and we can ignore you as another damn hypocrite.
How many dozens of these unwanted "babies" can we put into your home, to be raised for a minimum of 18 years?

Go ahead and legislate personhood, it really shouldn't make a difference. No PERSON has a right to use my body without my consent. I have the right to back up my objections with deadly force. I consented to sex, I allowed one PERSON to use my body and no other person. One of these days you'll be forced to admit you elevate the fetus above all other life forms and value women less than corpses.

The only opinions that matter are the ones that agree with mine. You don't care about the truth as you have already decided and nothing will change your mind.
IMHO it's not even a matter of elevating the fetus to some superior level, it's about punishing women for having sex on their own terms.
All the emotional baggage attached may convince some people that anti-abortion has anything to do with protecting potential babies, despite the fact that only about a THIRD of all fertilized eggs are naturally carried to term.
But ultimately, I am currently very convinced it's a scheme to hold control over female sexuality and reproductive power. If it were really about anything else, these same people wouldn't be opposing contraceptives and sex education.

A beating heart is an absolutely meaningless criterion for personhood and with all our scientific knowledge today, it baffles me that people still resort to the whole superstitious "heart as a metaphorical stand-in for the soul" bullshit in a medical and biological context like this. (Under this insane troll-logic, wouldn't someone with a pacemaker be considered less of a person than someone with a heart still capable of beating on its own?) If anything, functional brain activity should be considered as the criterion for personhood, and this doesn't occur in development until well after the vast majority of abortions are carried out.
