"This has been in my mind for awhile, Does God desire for us to use so much of our time on our "education"?"
No, of course not. He prefers you be dumb as a rock. Much easier to dupe you into worshiping him.
"to me education means to know how to read, write, know basic math, history, and science."
That's being able to regurgitate facts necessary to function in day to day society. That is not being educated.
"Honestly, it seems that futher education such as Algebra is uneccesary and futile."
If you want to do anything aside from very basic arithmetic then algebra is absolutely necessary.
"Of course, I want to finish high school and later go on to college but i just want to know if that's what God desires for me."
How about if you decide what you want to do and then tell god to shove off?
"I want to live a holy and Godly life and sometimes my mind wonders if i should use such of an amount of my time in school."
No. You should be in a monastery praying 16 hours a day, repenting for four, dining on bread and water for one and denying yourself "worldly" experiences the rest of the time.
Have fun.
"Its like the alternative of not going to school would be going out and spreading the message of Christ into the world and saving souls."
Then do so. Chuck it all and do what the Bible says--let god provide for you while you're out "savin' souls fer Jebus!"
You'll be homeless, hungry, dirty, ignored most of the time and told--politely or not--to get the hell away from people and stop harassing them when you aren't being ignored but, hey, that's how Jesus lived so you should too. It should ramp that wonderful Christian persecution complex into high gear for you, at least.
