When that happened, I heard the news on my local Christian radio station in Minneapolis, St. Paul and I was devastated. And I took a walk and I just went to prayer and I said Lord, what would you have me do in the Minnesota state senate? And just through prayer I knew that I was to introduce the marriage amendment in Minnesota.

Nothing fails like prayer.

So reality doesn't bend to your will. And, that Human law is infinitely superior to that of your nonexistent 'God'.

And as the Repubicans are so divided politically, certainly in terms of candidates - with the emphasis on candidates: Plural - the support base will be spread more thinly (and is their only possibly credible candidate Milt Romney going to be as much a wingnut as Sarah Failin? Especially to appeal to the mid-west's swing voters?).

All the while, the Democrats have nothing to worry about. Just sit back and watch the GOP become even more fragmented and give Obama his second term on a gold platter. One reason why I'm demanding that the wingnuts nominate Failin (thus push said swing voters towards the Democrats). And when she fails again - but as presidential candidate - she will be the wedge to split apart the Repubicans in a schism, between the moderates and the Foaming Fundy Religious Right types. Thus the Democrats will rule for ever and ever RAmen.

Funny how god's telling you exactly what you want to believe, in fact, he seems to tell EVERYONE that prays to him exactly what they want to hear. So god told the Pope that evolution was A-OK, he told Kent Hovind that the world was created 6000 years ago and that there were fire-breathing dragons back then, meanwhile he told Ken Ham that there weren't any fire-breathing dragons, he told Billy Graham that hell isn't a place of fire and brimstone while telling Pat Robertson that it is. All consistent with what those people already believed. Ain't that a funny coincidence?

EDIT: Oh, and BTW, god told me he thinks you're a cunt.

With my DAB radio(s), Michele, I can listen (in crystal clear digital sound; believe me, even FM sounds average. Once you go DAB, you never go back) to a myriad of radio stations, previously impossible to receive via normal analogue radio (FM, MW [AM], LW); via the network of DAB multiplex relays across the UK (I presume the US has something similar; there's been unbelievable hoo-ha on Ruptured Retards about digital TV replacing the ancient analogue VHF/UHF stations). Many of which are based in other parts of the UK unrelated to my neck of the woods (Yorkshire); stations in London, etc.

Yet, despite this choice offered to me, there's a few unavailable to me. Do you know which ones they happen to be, Michele? The Christian stations.

Funny, that. And not in a 'Funny-ha-ha' way, neither. Mayhaps the reason why is... oh, I dunno... your 'God' doesn't want me to hear them?

Consider that, Michele, along with these morsels for thought:

1- God made me an Atheist. Who are you to question his will?

2- Mayhaps your 'God' has changed his mind, and now approves of gay marriage. Who are you to question his will II?
