Atheism is a political movement and the self-deluded “elites” that drive the forces of this machine want nothing more exceptional than power and control. Let’s not ascribe anything noble to godless fanatics of political power and control.
While Muslims and death threats are as common as blood flowing in the “Islamic world,” let’s keep things in perspective. Atheists are not in this for tolerance and diversity. They are out for complete control. The Humanist movement that has done just that since the beginnings of the 20th century is proof that atheism is a totalitarian belief system that has only been slowed slightly since the Russians showed us what’s up with it.

Do the Atheists want control?
Well to some degree, yes, we want to control how much religion controls society, as in getting it back to the influence stage or not in your control.
Be Brave, certainly, but above all, Be Insane.
Or:-
Atheism, going where the compelling evidence is.
Or:-
How even the joys of ignorance and gullibility wear off, eventually.
I know a lot of Atheists, and the only thing they collectively want power and control over - is their own lives.
They don't want to be forced to live under the rules of the christian god. That doesn't mean they want to destroy you.
Christianity is a political movement and the self-appointed “church fathers” that drive the forces of this machine want nothing more exceptional than power and controlcontrolcontrolcontrol! Furthermore, they get it.
See how that works? There is no Church of Athe, where an egomaniac stands up front and tells people what they should think.
So when religious people try to ban homosexuals, push prayer and religious teaching into public schools, use public property to advertise their religion and oppose abortion choice, and atheists oppose them, it's the atheists who are "out for complete control"? That's like punching someone in the nose and then calling them violent for punching you back.
Even if you weren't full of shit, the very worst you could honestly say would be that we were doing nothing more than playing the very same game you are. Or is it somehow different when you pursue control?
Of course the only control most of us want is the right of individuals to control their own lives rather than have some cult dictate unreasonable rules based upon what they clam an invisible man told their ancestors several thousand years ago. That and you keeping your explicitly unscientific beliefs out of our science classrooms. If you want to teach your nonsense to children then that's what Sunday School is for.

As opposed to the christians who want nothing more than control and power.
That's why we demand you attend our weekly atheist services, or be flogged. You must pay a tithe to the atheist church. And you cannot complain about atheists ringing the damn atheist cathedral bells every hour on the hour, because we are omnipotent. We will stuff your mailbox with blank tracts and ring your doorbell to engage you in discussions about atheism at every inconvenient time.
BeBrave, it's time for you to wake up and smell the coffee, and BeSensible instead.

I'm rather surprised that there are no parties that define atheism as part of their manifesto, since they're fanatics out for power.
@John:
I'd say it's more of a case where the fundie hits the atheist, who then tells the teacher, only for he fundie to say that this is an act of violence and persecution.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
