Evidence of this is everywhere (including from the fact that the few countries where the man can divorce easily without cost still have very low divorce rates, and almost no ‘single mothers’).

Sorry, but OP's claims of it being a myth is false. Women in general love and care about their children. What I feel is the OP is taking the exception and making it the rule.

They take every excuse they can to delegate child-rearing and any domestic tasks but constantly insult the women they leave these tasks to calling them lazy, mentally deficient, predatory, monsters. And easy divorce without cost? That's no-fault divorce, which they bitch about endlessly and blame for high divorce rates. I have a colleague who has a wife who's a manager. He's always been taking the majority of the VAB's (Care of Sick Children, in Swedish) as his wife is less expendable. We, however, NEED him, and have to tell him every once in a while that it's his WIFE's turn to stay at home with a sick child. Will your patriarchal head explode soon, now..., or what?

All women do is spend nine months growing tiny people inside of themselves, followed by several months of feeding these tiny people with their bodies after a traumatic separation, all at significant cost to themselves. My mum; someone who could not get a job because she had two disabled kids to look after and who would literally starve herself when there wasn't enough food to go around so that me and my brother could eat.
My dad; the reason my mum had to starve herself in the first place. He couldn't keep away from the bookies or the football pools.
Best thing my mum did- divorce his ass so that she wouldn't have to panic about food and bills, or scream at him for money because we needed food or a bill had come.
This is just stupid, demonstrably. What do divorce rates have to do with childcare (except that maintenance enforcement needed a whole new raft of powers about 15 years back to catch primarily deadbeat dads )?

Momma loves her babies. Been both a single and married mom, loved them and cared for their needs regardless of what said needs were, and still do.
