Religious people don't even need to go to war to be dangerous and to cause suffering to millions. They are inherently dangerous and should be vi.lified for the mental retards they are. Why society tolerates these intolerant people I do not know.

I call troll, especially with that username. I can definitely picture someone having this view (I'm kind of tempted toward it myself on occasion), but that username strikes me as a dead giveaway, like the seams on a lifelike mask.
Well, maybe because they are similar to YOU. Your way of course. I adore this month. Fundies of all categories, including non-religious everywhere. That shows the original thesis of the webmaster, that all people, not only Christians, can say the darnest thing.
Most of the time, society doesn't tolerate them, which is why there are wars. Also, as stupid as some religious people are (Fundies *cough*), not all people who believe in a mystical deity are "mental retards".
OK, fundies ARE stupid and potentially dangerous - but the vast majority of religious/spiritual people are NOT fundies and should not be tarred with the same broad brush. (However, it would be nice to see religious moderates speaking out more against the fundie fanatics that give christianity a bad smell.)
It's a bit Sam Harris, though, isn't it, the assertion that any commitment to un-reason carries fundamental danger and we're under no obligation to "tolerate" that. I kind of...don't really disagree with the basics of this post.
No, he doesn't say that, of course, and I'm no advocate of being needlessly mean to anyone, but Harris and Dawkins both say we have to stop mollycoddling them and acting like their view of the world is just as reasonable as any other when it's really nonsense.
Uh, that's true. The Bible and Koran condone killing as long as it is in the name of your god, the 'true' god. The reason society tolerates them is unfourtunately because they make up most of the society.
I understand the feeling, and appreciate teh anger, especially since I'm gay and thus a targert for the fundies (of all makes).
but, but: the majority of them are misguided and do mean for the best. They truly do think that they've got to convert us or we'll burn.
