So in short, SCOTUS has just declared Christians an enemy of humankind
I missed that bit; could you show me in Justice Kennedy's opinion where he says that?
I’ve never seen the country as divided as were are now.
So you don't remember segregation, or the protests and killings of 1968, or Vietnam...
We no longer just disagree, we have created enmity with the other side.
When you declare everything to be a red line, and when you portray your opponents as cartoon devils, that's what happens. I thought Christianity was supposed to provide the believer with a sense of tranquillity; "blessed are the peacemakers" and that kind of stuff.
I don’t see how the country survives.
It survived the Civil War, it survived desegregation and the Constitution is just as valid today as it was a month ago.
I’m so sad for my children. I feel like I’ve failed them.
That might be true, but I think there might be other reasons for that.
I got to grow up in the greatest, kindest, most generous God-fearing country the world has ever known.
It also had rioting cities, terrible crime, severe homelessness, crooks in government colluding with mob bosses...and that's after the end of segregation.
They have to grow up in an ever decadent growing Soviet rehash.
Go and visit Belarus and see what a Soviet rehash is really like. For a start, if you said this in public, you wouldn't be on the internet any more.
