It's interesting that when an American makes a comment that is worthy of being posted on this site, the non-Americans all swoop down and claim that America is inherently a breeding ground for fundies, and that it must be the fault of the educational system over there, and that Americans are idiots because the atheists over there have had hardly any successes, and a lot of people are simply indifferent to science, but when a British person makes a comment worthy of this site, not a single person says that that is because the British people are inherently racist and that the British educational system teaches, even subconsciously, that racism is still acceptable. There is a definitely a Double Standard here, and as an American, I want to know why.

Why does it happen? Because human brains are mistake-generating machines. Otherwise, this site wouldn't need to exist. One of the most common mistakes is to overgeneralise from the actions of a few members of a group, to the whole group.
