If you've never been poor, perhaps it is just because you were LUCKY. A decent, self-respecting person would never stoop to "hating" the poor. Read that post again and tell me why you do not show any of that dignity you praise.
Shouldn't that read "Republicans hate poor people because they also think that poor people will vote Democrat?"
Also, what Senza said. Conservative parties don't provide ladders, they kick the ladder away.
EDIT: I've just realised that this is a Republican admitting that Republicans hate poor people.
I have self respect, which is precisely why I never vote republican.
