What in the world are “pinions”?

King James Bible (KJB) - Psalm 91:4, “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

English Standard version (ESV) - Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.”

I had to get a dictionary and look up the meaning of “pinions,” which simply means “feathers.” Folks, this is another obvious reason why I justly criticize Bob Jones University for using, promoting and selling the corrupt Modern Bible versions, including the English Standard Version (ESV) that they sell. How does replacing the commonly understood word “feathers” with “pinions” make the Bible easier to understand? It obviously doesn't! This is a good example of the ridiculous unnecessary “unique and substantial changes” of the modern Bible butchers! Throw your modern Bible perversion in the garbage can, and use ONLY the inspired KING JAMES BIBLE!!!!!!!
