The spirit beings need blood in order to survive. They suck our blood and make us willing to multiply in order to have more body host. For centuries they've created a whole culture centered around blood sacrifices and war. They will cause us to multiply until they destroy the planet. When the planet will be at the verge of destruction. The spirit beings will leave to another planet.
