The one reason why Christians keep losing ground in this country is because we constantly allow ourselves to be pushed around by groups representing minority views. Christians are the largest demographic group in this country, and yet we struggle to have influence over the basic rules of morality.

The liberal agenda behind religious freedom is not about tolerance and copasetic co-existence. Their biased self-righteous intolerance will never be satisfied until all segments of society endorse their reprobate mindset.

That's because morality cannot be governed from on high. It must begin at the individual and grow upward through society. This is what church and religion are all about.
Christians are the largest demographic group in this country, and yet we struggle to have influence over the basic rules of morality.
That’s because you only count all the non-rapturite Christians when you make statements like this. Otherwise it’s “Catholics are Mary-worshipping heathens”, “Unitarians aren’t TruChristians”, etc., etc.
You’ll just have to accept that the majority of Christians does not agree with you on your favourite issues.
I’d say that the one reason Christians keep losing ground in that country, is that the Teabaggers and the Religious Right are constantly making you look like bigoted morons who wants to micromanage other people’s lives.
Poor wittle you, you struggle to have influence over the 15 percent who are not Christian? Maybe your problem is that different Christians have different views on "basic rules of morality"? Most Christians probably think that as long as you don't harm others and you follow the law, it's your own business what you do in private.
Most liberals in the US are Christians, silly. Allowing others to live their lives their way (again, as long as you don’t harm others) IS religious freedom and tolerance, nitwit. Wanting to govern every tiny detail of other people's lives is neither freedom nor tolerance.
If you don't like Liberal Religious Freedom, take it up with your Founding Fathers, or move to Uganda or Saudi Arabia.
You are not SUPPOSED to have "influence over the basic rules of morality. " for all of us.That is for those, and ONLY those, who freely choose that religion. Not to mention that the various Christian groups could never agree on those basic rules in the first place.......
You want to know why you Christians keep losing ground in this country? I'll let you in on a little secret: It's because you constantly have the attitude that everyone MUST do what you say, everyone MUST allow you to control every aspect of government and society, and everyone MUST agree with you because no dissent is tolerated.
In short, you're losing ground because your idea of religious freedom is everyone having the freedom to totally agree with you.
"Christians are the largest demographic group in this country, and yet we struggle to have influence over the basic rules of morality."
Two things:
A. Being the largest demographic does not give you the right to impose your will upon the minority.
2. If you're having trouble imposing your will, maybe it's because the majority of people reject your "morality"?
The one reason why Christians keep losing ground in this country....
....is because we're crazy far-right authoritarian psychopaths who like to oppress others and not the paragons of kindness, charity & peace Jesus intended us to be!
Also, most American profess Christianity and most of them aren't weirdos. Christianity isn't dying.
It's not the Christians losing ground, it's the far-right, wingnut, pseudo-Christians who are. The shrinking mainline church attendance means nothing because most normal, sane Christians just don't think worshiping IN a Church is necessary.
It's not dying. People are stil Christian. But people are getting better educated about science, other faiths, history, etc which helps destroy your beliefs. Also you arenot one to speak about anyone not being tolerant.

"Christians are the largest demographic group in this country, and yet we struggle to have influence over the basic rules of morality."
Because (1) many people are "cultural Christians" like many Jews are "cultural Jews" and don't take religion very seriously. (2) Even those that do take their religion seriously don't all agree with your concept of morality. Christians are not a homogeneous group.
"Christians are the largest demographic group in this country, and yet we struggle to have influence over the basic rules of morality. "
Translation: We're the biggest why aren't you all doing what we say?
'...self-righteous intolerance'
This from RR, a website that ban-hammers anyone questioning their delusional nonsense.
That's because you define "Christians" (all Christians) to be the largest demographic group, but then insist that the views of "Christians" (fundies only) should prevail. This conveniently excludes all the members of the mainstream churches, who make up a huge chunk of that demographic. This is called having your cake and eating it.
Their biased self-righteous intolerance will never be satisfied until all segments of society endorse their reprobate mindset.
Shiny, shiny mirror you have there.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
