As of today, I will vote for Rick Santorum.. - Today, 01:20 PM
There is no one single perfect candidate. Human beings are flawed period. So, to say we shouldn't vote for the lesser of two evils is to demand the impossible.

The fact is, Rick Santorum has become the newest, most hated "right wing Christian" nut of the left. That alone, tells me he is the right guy.

To the mainstream left and media, you're a nut if you believe in the following:

Traditional Marriage and Family.
Publicly crediting God and your Faith for your Values
Insuring our country remains the world's superior military power
Private business, not government makes the country prosperous.
It is not a woman's right to murder her unborn child.

Santorum is my guy. He's not the most gifted or polished speaker, but I'll vote for substance.

Y'know what, rbdeli? Our current Prime Minister David Cameron is Conservative. Someone who - if (and I strongly enphasise 'If'; '[/Spartan Laconic Wit]', and all that jazz) - (P)Rick Rantsorbum was elected, would have to deal with his British counterpart; 'Special Relationship' and all, to maintain alliances (trade, military/MI6 - GCHQ intelligence exchanges with FBI/CIA/NSA etc).

Several years ago, David Cameron voted against a ban on Stem Cell research; at the same time, against shortening the time on abortions.

So things that (P)Rick Rantsorbum disapproves of strongly happen here in the UK. What the fuck is he going to do about it? You tell me. One word: Diplomacy.

What exactly does private business have to do with Christianity? Besides, didn't Jesus also advocate for his followers to abandon their worldly goods? Something about a camel and a needle...

But it's certainly the right of a pack of male strangers to tell a woman that they've never met and never will meet what to do with her own body, especially since she's dealing with a situation that they'll never have to go through. Right.

No, it's to demand better candidates. If nobody voted for any of these jokers then the only thing left to do would be to find electable candidates who actually know what they're doing instead of just pandering to the lunatics who, apparently, outnumber the rational folk.

That's because you, like most Christians, have some sort of persecution complex and seem to believe that the more fucking wrong you are and the more people that tell you that you're fucking wrong, the more right you actually are. You then just extend this to anybody who says what you want to hear and is also told they're fucking wrong.

A thought: When said Austrian's mother was pregnant with him, she was considering having an abortion, until someone persuaded her otherwise.

Just consider that for a momemt.

Now think what would've happened - or specifically not - if she hadn't been persuaded to carry that male child within her to full term. Kinda annihilates the justifications of the entire 'Pro-Life' cause, wouldn't you say?

The notion has been posited, that eliminating said Austrian at birth would be the 'killer app' for time travel. The fact that said Austrian's deeds, mid-20th Century, still exist in our history books - to say nothing of all the evidence of such that exists - merely proves that time travel hasn't been invented.

Pff... as if the business establishment would let Santorum the corpsecuddler be their next candidate. The man who let his wife have a lifesaving abortion, but would deny that right to others, even though his wife AND the child would have died otherwise he'd still DENY that right to others. And then he took the fetus home an cuddled it and had his children do the same.

But eh, Santorum might be a freak, but the business establishment already picked Romney, who will probably just lose to Obama, who himself is another business party guy anyway. The US has the choice between either fascist business party (republicans) and business party lite (democrats)

There's no real labour-style left-wing choice in the US, the corporate fascists wouldn't allow it. And they can always count on their fundie nutjobs voting base. (And once they die off their libertarian nutjobs voting base. (Sure the libertards beloved Ron Paul (also a fundie by the way) won't get anywhere, but once the fundies are no longer a significant voting block they'll probably get someone like Rand Paul (Even worse then Ron) and push them forward. And the libertards will become the new fundies. (They already behave just as dishonestly and annoying anyway.)
