Many doomsday UFO cults believe aliens are coming to take them away to another planet. They desire to depart to escape a terrible fate that they fear will soon befall the earth. Most people just laugh them off as being a bunch of nuts, and would never dream of writing them.
What makes RR different is the innate realization that the prophetic message we promote is factual and will someday happen.

Explain how you know this is factual. Every prediction so far has been wrong.
"the prophetic message we promote is factual"
The Millerites said the same in 1844. As did Harold Camping in May/October 2011. The Jehovah's Witlesses keep saying the same over and over. Ever hear of the story of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", Ruptured Retards...?

The same could be said of all doomsday cults. What is a Raptard? A miserable little pile of latter-day Jonestown-ers. But enough talk, drink the Kool-Aid!

Uh huh, yeah. Their being-saved-from-imminent-doomsday scenario is totally false and based on nonsense, while yours is based on hard, factual evidence. You're no different from them whatsoever.
What makes RR different is just the flavor of their escapist fantasy. The substance is the same though. You both want to (for whatever reason) leave this life and seek a better one. I'd sympathize (though I wouldn't agree; this is a good life and I'd like to be here as long as possible), but it doesn't end there. Oh no. You want everyone else to suffer horribly for some imagined crimes. That right there takes away any and all sympathy I have for your hatred of life.

Todd & everyone on Ruptured Retards? Everything they say/do/think/'believe' is made of 20% more FAIL.

Yes. I do know that. I'm also aware of at least one doomsday Christian cult that believes Jesus is going to whoosh them into the sky any second now. You may have even heard of them.

The UFO guys at least have a somewhat slim chance of being right given that alien life almost certainly exists and, thus, could possibly come and abduct them all. Not likely, but it's at least potentially possible.
You guys, on the other hand, haven't got a chance in hell since your god doesn't appear to exist. Even if he did, your Wholly Babble says nothing of a Rapture as you expect it and, so far as I'm aware, only 144,000 Jewish male virgins are supposed to be flying off to Heaven.
This from the same article: "Our critics normally visit us only once". Nope, I've visited several times, mostly for entertainment purposes and that good old "what-the-fuck-am-I-reading" feeling. Just to see how crazy it gets. Just to see.
The only "doomsday UFO cult" I ever heard of was Heaven's Gate.
As for your "prophetic message" happening one day, I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.
Most people just laugh them off as being a bunch of nuts, and would never dream of writing them.
So after they go away, to wherever it is they're going, their old friends won't keep in touch by mail? Not even a postcard? Selfish bastards!
Admitedly, though, the postage would be astronomical.
The "innate" probably comes from Paul's claim that the law of God is written in the hearts of men. Even given Paul's shaky prophet credentials (at least, if you're trying to map his Jesus to the one from the canonized Gospels), I doubt he meant much more than the general philosophy. Cardinal Virtues, Cardinal Vices, etc. What does the Rapture have to do with philosophical precepts?
The only difference between a UFO cult and your death cult is that you guys actually try to set government policy for everyone else.
This makes you inherently more dangerous to the rest of us not afflicted by your delusions.
"Most people just laugh them off as being a bunch of nuts, and would never dream of writing them."
most people, sure. but we're talking about internet people. trolling a bunch of crazies isn't normal, but on the internet it is.
Delusional garbage from Marshall Applewhite VS. delusional garbage from Cotton Mather (though erroneously attributed to Margaret MacDonald).
Gee, which garbage pile do I choose?......
@SpukiKitti no,cotton mather was the first one to use the word rapture in english, and he said that te rapture would happen right before the second coming, not before the tribulation as the rr ppls believe
Pot, meet kettle.
If you were a divine being, who would you rather choose to spend eternity with; a bunch of people wanting to sit at your feet and adore you, or people who'd rather argue and discuss different view points? The first alternative sounds desperately boring after a decade or two...
Remember the end of the "Stargate" film, Toddy-boy? When the nuclear device enhanced with Naqadah - what the Stargate itself is made of - to make it explosive at an exponential rate, then O'Neill & Jackson have the idea of Rapturing the nuke up to destroy a God.
Remember Judges 1:19, Todd Strangled...?:

If this Iron Chariot can fire a round made of Iron - a God-Killer - then not even your 'Omniscient /present /potent ' God can prophecise his own Armageddon, seeing as the non -flying objects like the above British Challenger II, US M-1 Abrams, French Leclerc, German Leopard II, Israeli Merkava, Russian T-90, Chinese Type 99 & North Korean Pokpung Ho are Unseeable , as Iron is basically Stealth material to him.
After all, why hasn't he dared come down here, never mind start his so-called 'Armageddon' before now...?!
Therefore the Creation is now superior to the Creator. And A-10s, AH-64 Apaches etc are flying tanks, are they not...?! [/Hawker Typhoon , Ilyushin IL-10 ]
