God asks that we first beilive and then we will see...as oppose to the perverse and backwards way of thinking today which i s'seeing is beliving'... you should try it and find out for yourself instead of making assumptions.

You can only see God if you believe in him first. Jeez, what a racket. I've gotta try that.
"Hey, good sir! I'd like to tell you about the Fairy Realm! You see, it is the place from which all that is good in this world comes from, and for a mere six pence, I can continue my ministry to assure that people pay proper respect to the fairies all around us! Oh, I know, you scoff at the idea of fairies, dismiss them out of hand, unwilling to truly give them a chance. Sure, you don't see them, right? Don't see a sign of them at all. Because you take for granted the gifts they have given. Please, just believe that the fairies exist. Believe with all your heart. Acknowledge their hand in our lives, and you will see it!"
Self-brainwashing makes the evangelists' jobs so much more easy.
Lemme guess, and if you don't see him, it means your not trying hard enough. So really swing that hammer, kill some brain cells, and be sure to do it til you can see the bearded man in the sky.
We are the ones making assumptions? That's very rich.
Oh, and by the way, seeing is believing is the logical approach. Blindly berlieving any old unsubstantiated crap that you've been fed almost since birth is frankly fucking stupid.
"...you should try it and find out for yourself instead of making assumptions."
Well, I've had my fill of irony for the day.
“God asks that we first beilive and then we will see...”
My bran can’t make that work.
I mean, I grew up as a believer, but had other questions, No one offered answers. So i lost faith because everyone around me was making no sense.
“as oppose to the perverse and backwards way of thinking today which i s'seeing is beliving'...”
SOOOOOOOOperverse and backwards, that it gave us computers, teflon, superglue, trips to the Moon, robots on Mars, and GPS.
“you should try it and find out for yourself instead of making assumptions.”
I have tried. Also worked in my submarine quals, i sometimes punched the ‘I Believe’ button on a detail until the whole system made sense. But that won’t work for the questions i still have.
So i suppose it’s my fault that your smug suggestion won’t work.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
