Ever Notice how Hollywood and the ACLU wants to remove GOD and anything about GOD and Jesus Christ ....and the Bible and all morality from this world. This IS their agenda...because they believe there is no Christian God.
Here is the next question then. IF they DO NOT BELIEVE THAT GOD AND JESUS CHRIST EXISTS.......WHY are they cursing only HIS NAME in every film? I mean they actually have to go out of their way to have it written into the movie Script and direct the actors to say it!!!! They curse both God and Jesus....but never Mohammad.....never any other god or gods ......never ......just God and Jesus......the very God they say DOES NOT EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do they look a little bit foolish to you when they spend all this extra money to make sure those curses at God and Jesus (the God they don't believe exists) are in every film?
For the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers.

I realise this may be difficult to grasp for the average fundie, what with their tendency to lump all the varied, unrelated things they oppose into one big group of generic evil, but the ACLU doesn't run the movie and tv industries.
You do realize that people put about as much effort in using God and Jesus as curses as they do shit and damn and fuck?
The reason we don't use any other deity's names as curses is because they aren't as popular in English speaking countries.
They don't because when English language was formed there were no muslims, because it doesn't mean their original meaning to them, and because Mohammed is a real guy, not a god. Does it answer your question?
And couldn't it be, Rachael, that because they don't believe he exists, that's why they mock him without fear of consequences(well, that's not really mocking)?. After all, you mock all beliefs which are not yours on the same basis.
How old are you that you don't understand the concept of a fictional character? It is a writer's job to make that character as believable as possible and since people in our culture say things like; "Oh Jesus," and not "Oh Mohammad," it would be silly of them to make the bulk of characters you see on film say the latter. Likewise it would be silly of them to write a Muslim character who "curses" your god.
Yeah that's totally why Hollywood made: Passion of the Christ, the Ten Commandments remake, The Nativity Story, and Bruce Almighty.
Osiris:
Bruce Almighty doesn't count, because they portrayed God wrong. Every good fundie knows that he's an angry redneck who hates everyone who isn't white, fundie Christian, and living in the US Bible Belt.

Well, we've gotten an increase in our budget. We are *go* for inserting even more curses and blasphemy into our movies. Good work, team. It's Miller time!
Gee, it's not like normal people ever curse, and of course it is normal for every one to curse Allah or Mohammed, or Thor or Odin or Mars or Jove or Isis in a society where they are not commonly thought of. I sure that they spend millions of dollars just to include one little curse word. You are really reaching!
Your god's name is not "God" any more than my name is "Human." If you're gonna worship a deity, at least know his name: Yahweh, or Jehovah.
Meanwhile, get the fuck over yourself. Nobody's spending extra money to curse your mythical sky fairy. They'd curse the FSM if it was culturally relevant.
"WHY are they cursing only HIS NAME in every film?"
They are not cursing his "name".
His name is not god. It is "Jehovah" and I have never heard anyone say, "Jehovah-damnit!"
*Please excuse me if I spelled that wrong.*
“Here is the next question then. IF they DO NOT BELIEVE THAT GOD AND JESUS CHRIST EXISTS.......WHY are they cursing only HIS NAME in every film?”
I didn’t used to curse at all. Then i went to Boot Camp.
I curse. I swear. And you know what? I use the swears the people around me use.
It’s very immersive.
Before High School i read Conan, and i’d love to be in the habit of searing ‘By CROM!’
I have read urban fantasy in the Navy and could wish I swore ‘By Moss And Stone!’ Or some such.
But, it’s the Christain influence in this country that has everyone swearing by Christain terms.
When i write a story or a script, if the character swears, I COULD write them as saying, “Holy Neith!” But the impact is lost if i have to explain that Neith was the Atlantis name for the Greek goddess Athena (according to Plato).
So, I would more than likely have them swear by the culture they’re from. So, Fuck, shit, Jesus, God damn it, Christ, Christ on a pogo stick, Holy Jesus H. Goddamned Christ And His All-Nurse Band!
Of course, my vikings swear by frost, ice, ice giants, Thor’s lowest hanging testicle, like that there.
“Do they look a little bit foolish to you when they spend all this extra money to make sure those curses at God and Jesus (the God they don't believe exists) are in every film?”
No, because most of their audience accepts it as characterization of the person speaking. When someone smokes, or swears, or parks in a handicapped slot, it tells us something about them.
Confused?
