Well, first off, the position in which Spiderman's fingers are when he shoots is web is actually ASL for "I love you." Second, that horned hand is not occult, it's a actually a Christian-based superstition. It's not a sign of the devil, it's actually a sign to ward off the devil, but it was misinterpreted by fans of bands like Black Sabbath.

If the "horns" are raised up, it is meant as a sign of protection from the evil eye. If they're pointing outward with the palm down, it's reflecing or sending out the evil eye.
I thought the horned hand uses the thumb closed upon the tips of the middle and ring fingers. Spider-man's web shooting pose keeps the thumb extended away.
Likewise, since, in the comics anyway, the pose it designed to push a button, the fingers have to touch the palm, whereas, to the best of my knowledge, they generally don't do so in the horned hand symbol.

The reason spider man is holding his hand that way when he shots web is very simple.
Spider man could never shot web by him self (Only in the movie).
Peter Parker is a Chemistry major or something like that invented the web spray thing to help him with his crime fighting.
To make shore his "web" did not shot unintentional he made it so it was activated by him doing the a specific gesture.
