One of the smartest men I've ever met [clearly annointed!!!] is Dr. Kent Hovind. He holds a PhD and taught high school science for almost 30 years. Now he goes around the world debating Creationism vs evolution for the Lord.
He has more proof for Creation and the plausibility of the literal 6-day creation than anyone I've ever heard...........and he knows it's from God. I wouldn't be saved without him. I'm one of those nerdy types who always needs to know why and how. This man had more fact to back up his argument that I found myself on my knees in tears as an atheist one night, KNOWING that God really IS true, and better yet, He loves me, warts and all.

If "Dr." Hovind is the smartest man you know, I'd hate to see the rest of them. Hell, even most other creationists won't touch his arguments with a ten-foot pole (and AiG's "Arguments We Think Creationists Shouldn't Use" is basically a cut-and-paste of his site).
Being from outside the US, first had to get some infos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_Hovind
Sueing the IRS for harassment because he didn't pay his taxes??
I agree, if this is one of the smartest men she has ever met, I don't want to har about the rest.
Yes, he holds a PhD.
Is it in any field of science?
No.
It's in Christian Education, and it's from an unaccredited instutition.
He's not qualified to teach or work in any science field. Whether a Creator exists or not, Kent Hovind is a liar and a fraud.
If Kent Hovind is the smartest man you've ever met, you have my sympathy. All of my classmates and I knew "The Flintstones" were a fake long before we were in sixth grade. If you met any of us, you'd think we were geniuses compared to what you've been exposed to, and that's a shame.
"He has more proof for Creation and the plausibility of the literal 6-day creation than anyone I've ever heard...........and he knows it's from God."
So where was he when the likes of Behe & co needed him in Kitzmiller vs. Dover?
...oh yes, that's right. A scam artist and snake-oil salesman like him would've made Intelligent Design's case look uttely stupoid. As if Behe's testimony & 'evidence' didn't make their case enough of a laughingstock, thus Judge Jones finding for the plaintiffs.
And ol' Kentypoos's reputation is in such a hole, not even the drill on Nero's Ship 'Narada' (in the recent "Star Trek" film) could dig him a deeper one he's in already - doing a ten-stretch for tax evasion.
"He loves me, warts and all."
As Bubba loves Kentypoos. Arsehole and all.
>:D
You can't have met many smart men, then. "Holding" a PhD doesn't mean you have actually earned it at an accredited university.
Now he sits in jail for tax fraud, a crime even according to the Bible.
He may have more proof than anyone else, because no-one else has any proof at all.
How come you don't want to know why that god created the world, and how he did it?

"PffftHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
The guy makes Cirno look like Einstein. Which is one hell of an accomplishment."
Just look at that baka:

And even Cirno's IQ (9) is higher than yours, Kentypoos.

I thought that Touhou was Peter Davidson and David Tennant, until I discovered Smirnoff.
...Touhou. 'Two-Who'...
...I'll get my coat.

"He holds a PhD"
Even if it were not a fake title granted for ramblings barely above TimeCube: So what? So do all the scientists. If you want to follow the academic path, the doctorate is pretty much a necessary milestone. This is like claiming to be a relationship expert because of a marriage of convenience to a partner you never lived together with for even a single night. And in Hovind's case, he is frantically trying to hide the photographs that clearly shows her to be a blow-up doll.
Confused?
