I'd dress up like Hitler before driving the bus. If you're going to drive a vehicle with atheist propaganda all over it, might as well go all the way and look like a proper atheist.

Make sure you have the authentic belt buckle for your Nazi uniform. You know, the one that reads 'Gott mit uns'.
Euh, not to make too fine a point, but ... 'Gott mit uns' was already on German Army belt buckles during world war one.
The only thing added to the Wehrmacht uniform by the Nazis was the eagle with swastika, and as such signaled the subservience and collaboration of the Army to the Nazi Party.

Good luck finding a new job. I'm sure the phrase "intolerant religious fantaticism" will look wonderful in the letter of recommendation your old boss will write for you. Oh, and since almost every employer performs background checks on new hires you can bet your boots that your Hitler remarks will turn up.
You know, I get the feeling that your message (protesting atheism) would somehow be lost by everyone staring at you because you dressed like Hitler. You would say, 'It's because he was an atheist!' but then everyone would think you were in support of atheism by dressing for the occasion, rather than protesting it..

It was no doubt an unpleasant shock for you to find one day that they dress in regular clothing just as you do. So you had to take the most dramatic, controversial image out there and disguise that fact with true desperation, now only to find out that Hitler wasn't atheist himself either.

Just look at the current white supremacists in 2024, it shatters any "Hitler was atheist" with their hypocritical mix of neo-nazism and "Christianity", sometimes even overt Hitler and racist pseudoscientific social Darwinism and eugenics advocacy, their holocaust denial and violence normalization, etc.
