“This is what they're teaching our kids. You wonder why we've got a bunch of Occupy Wall Street people walking all around the country: They've been indoctrinated, literally, for years by this kind of stuff,” Gainor said. “Whether it was 'Captain Planet' or Nickelodeon's ‘Big Green Help,’ or ‘The Day After Tomorrow,’ the Al Gore-influenced movie, all of that is what they're teaching, is that corporations are bad, the oil industry is bad, and ultimately what they're telling kids is what they told you in the movie ‘The Matrix:’ that mankind is a virus on poor, old Mother Earth.”

Or maybe, they realized they have been lied to for decades by faux news and cnn, and they are waking up to the realization that the middle class is being systematicly demolished by rapacious, unrestricted, greed.
So, go and make your own cartoons and movies about how oil companies are noble and heroic, the environment is just fine, those extreme weather events are nothing to worry about, and profit-making is the only thing that matters. Just shut your eyes and fill your pockets while the entire planet goes into meltdown. Let's see how long it takes before it gets to your neighbourhood.
...Eh? What the hell are you talking about? A lot of the people at Occupy Wall Street might be concerned about the environment too, but that's not at all what they're protesting about. Or at least, extremely low on their collective list of priorities.
They're protesting inequality and inopportunity, you stupid fuck. They're protesting all of the little injustices and little indignities that poor and middle-class people have to deal with every day, getting screwed over by everyone. They're sick of shrugging it off and saying, "well, I'm the Little Guy, I guess I should get used to getting fucked over constantly to benefit the über-wealthy that are stealing my children's future."
I'd say that their goals are very readily apparent. So why mischaracterize them so egregiously? Are you trying to dilute that message, which is extremely popular amongst the masses? Are you trying to protect your own interests, and the interests of the New Robber Barons? It would seem so, but couldn't you do it in a way that DIDN'T MAKE YOU SOUND LIKE A COMPLETE FUCKING RETARD?
P.S. This is what an environmental group looks like:

Oh, wait. "Get their dirty money out of our democracy"? Maybe you're on to something! Greenpeace is sick and fucking tired of this bullshit too! What a surprise!
No, fundies are a blight on society. Not people in general. It's fundies who have made life miserable for everyone else throughout all of history.
If, fifty years from now, the world is super-ultra-mega-fucked up because of the constant denial of global warming by fundies, I hope that they have a good, long example of self-reflection.
In related news, the Discovery Channel has decided no to air the 7th episode of David Attenborough's "Frozen Planet" because it deals with global climate change. Why not surf on over to their site and complain?
Yes, the media is brainwashing people, but in a way that is favorable to fossil fuel companies.
If you odn't think Captain Planet is leftist propaganda, then you're retarded. Not that I think there's any vast conspiracy, but yes, these shows and movies are meant to sway people's political views. It's plain as day.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
