It may sound a bit harsh, but it seems like the best way to get rid of HIV and AIDS would be to stop keeping the infected people alive for 20-30 years with these drugs. As that way just allows the infections to spread and spread.
Surely HIV and AIDS would naturally die out with the infected dead as there would be nobody left alive to keep spreading and spreading it.

Well, in that case legalise euthanasia or abortion, if you have such a concept of the human life. Have you considered as well, that many of the people in the process could get infected?
What an idiot! The inhumanity of not trying to help the victims aside, such a method may work for a fast-acting epidemic like the black plague or Ebola, but considering that full-blown AIDS usually takes anywhere between two and ten or more years to appear, a person can be infected and contagious for years without suspecting anything.
It is precisely this long period of latency that make the HIV so difficult to contain. To use a comparison that should appeal to the fundie mind, the HIV works like a network of terrorist sleeper cells, stealthily infiltrating a population for years before striking.
M11 also seems to fail to understand that it is while they are unaware of the infection that people are the most dangerous. Once the virus is detected, they are taught how to avoid contaminating others, so withholding treatment would be the equivalent of closing the stable door after the horse ran away, in addition to being ethically inacceptable.
That does work as a method of disease control, but only when the disease in question is massively and rapidly fatal. (Ie it can wipe out the entire village it shows up in before anyone contacts it and takes it elsewhere, and before anyone from the village can get to the outside world.) HIV/AIDS does not work nearly quickly enough, even without any treatment, to do this.
Sure, great plan, except that people tend to infect others before they know about it. Plus, isn't the whole idea of getting rid of AIDS about avoiding human deaths? killing those who suffer it kinda defeats the purpose, you know.
Well, except for the fact that people don't sponaneously die the moment they contract HIV. Unless you're suggesting we kill everyone who's HIV positive, which would constitute genocide and be utterly repugnant.
How Fucking Dare You?! When I was sixteen I buried a cousin only a year older than I was who died from AIDs related complications, tainted blood transfusions. Maybe we should also stop trying to cure other diseases too, after all if we just let them 'die out' I find those like M11 so utterly vile..
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
