Which is EXACTLY what they did in the 50's! Teenage girls got pregnant, they were hidden away from society until the baby is born, during which the babe is usually torn away from the mother and given up for adoption without the girl having any say in the matter.

I think I know how you flaunt your sin of pregnancy! I sometimes wore belly shirts and drew stuff on my belly (flowers, a sun, or had my oder kids draw on me, they loved it) - this could be concidered flaunting I guess
Though, I doubt that's what the pregnant teen church members are doing? though, it should be easy to not flaunt your belly, since all good chrisitan ladies wear burkas!

Shame on you! Such garments are what the evil Muslims oppress those poor women into wearing. They simply expect a good, godly woman make sure she shows next to no skin, or else she be sto-erm...shunned as the harlot that she is.

The problem is that PREGNANCY is evident, is a physical reality, so no point in hiding. And the problem, the way you describe it, is the Church, not the girl. Either the girl commited a sin, or the church colaborated. You can't have it both ways.
Is that "discipline" going to make her want to stay in that church? Maybe she will just go down the street, where the Presbyterians will make sure she gets good prenatal care, or the Methodists will help her find the father and get him to pay child support, or the Episcopalians, who will direct her to nursery schools and night classes so she can complete her education.
Now tell me what your church has to offer somebody who needs help, not discipline.
Typically they are not ready for it but are still forced to marry to the too old, or also immature boy, who impregnated her, in attempt to save face while enforcing the subjugation. For this reason the odds of a happy marriage wildly varies and divorce is also common, despite the existence of children (and the reputation/honor of the parents) adding some additional pressure to remain together despite toxic circumstances. If you've been in a cult like me, you've seen it around you and wondered if that should be your life... So it's important for them to also shame pregnant girls, especially if it's illegal to persecute them further, force them to abort or whatever... Evil patriarchy. Sex can be shamed and used for control but can never be prevented.
And of course, there are less unwanted pregnancies, less STD transmission and less abortions in less fundamentalist and more educated groups. Also less pressure for early marriage, less poverty, happier more mature marriages...
Nutz: Yeah the best scenario would be being pregnant by somebody she's already dating outside the church, that she also has other friends outside and intends to escape from the church for good. A problem might be her family disowning her/them, possibly also pressured by the church to do so. In the Jehovah's Witnesses, they call that hateful control shunning tactic "Jehovah's discipline and a disposition of love". Then we must also hope that she has what's needed outside, financially and support health services. In red states it's like a third world economy...
Kanna: (Also a complement to the above): And even better would be access to proper state health services that'd also ensure that she has lawful benefits and access to other resources via a social worker... It's ridiculous if the only alternatives are other churches, most democracies have more.
