Actually, as someone who is "across the briny deep" from you, I can honestly tell you that replacing Bush with Obama resulted in far less entertaining American politics. We were half hoping you'd elect Romney just so we could continue laughing.

The pathetic joke is what America became upon the very quick reversal of the balanced Budget that Clinton left, the deliberate lies to justify the invasion of Iraq, and the fucking stupidity that is the US banks imploding the US economy to such a degree that it's STILL fucking over not just the US but most of the fucking world to this day!
