I learned long ago that evolution debates just go in circles and nothing ever gets solved, so I’m not going to waste any more time on it— I do however want to point out something to our conservative evolutionist friends— I’m assuming most of you recognize how completely bogus and debunked man made global warming is, yes? And setting aside the bogusness of “consensus”, the mainstream “scientific community” all sells this nonsense. The same people who sell evolution.
Now, for those of you who recognize how the “science community” has pushed and continues to push the climate change lie, don’t you think for even a second, they could be doing the same with evolution? Don’t mistake me, I’m not attempting to make a scientific argument here (as I said, that winds up being a waste of time), I’m simply raising an issue I find interesting. People recognize the dishonesty of the “scientific community” in one area, but refuse to even consider the possibility that it’s happening in another.

This couldn't possibly be because both Global Warming and Evolution are facts could it?

Like evolution, that the global mean surface temperature is increasing is a fact . The best explanation of that fact science has been able to deduce to date is an increase in the thermal equilibrium temperature of the troposphere caused by anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gasses, predominantly CO2.
I’m assuming most of you recognize how completely bogus and debunked scientific creationism/ID is, yes?
Now, for those of you who recognize how the “christianist Church” has pushed and continues to push the creation/ID lie, don’t you think for even a second, they could be doing the same with global warming? Fixed.
I think I know what you're trying to say. It's kinda like church leaders and republicans that speak out about gays then get caught in homosexual activities. No? Then the ones that embezle funds or lie all the time? No?
Then I don't know what you mean
"so I’m not going to waste any more time on it
"
Good.
Get the fuck out, and leave the answers to the people that can comprehend them.
And setting aside the bogusness of “consensus”, the mainstream “scientific community” all sells this nonsense. The same people who sell evolution.
The only people who have something to "sell" on the global warming issue are the oil and coal industries. What would scientists gain by making this stuff up? Don't be a sucker: look up the phrase "cui bono".
you can go to a zoo, or a museum, and see that evolution is the only logical way animals came to be at the state they are now. one cannot say the same for the climate. taking evidence for that is a lot more vague and nondescript. we cannot compare temperatures today from thousands of years ago. but we can compare bones of today from thousands, hundreds of thousands, and millions of years ago. one is a hypothesis, the other is a scientific theory rooted in fact. not to mention neither has anything to do with the other and are incomparable.
Tussles between those who support evolution and those who believe in a literal reading of the bible have all been found for the evolutionists when the debates have been properly moderated. It is inevitable that that would be the case since all the evidence supports evolution while the other side must rely on religious faith and a literal interpretation of the bible.
Of course when the debates are allowed to be a free-for-all then nothing is ever resolved. Since the circular arguments that the religionists indulge in are just that, circular.
Your views are clouded by the pitching of religion against science. Fundamentalist religions have a certain viewpoint and they stand by that because they think the bible is actually God's word. Science just does its stuff without paying attention to religious sensibilities.
That there is a conflict is not a deliberate act by some conspiratorial cadre of leading scientists. For a start, the scientific world does not have a hierarchy in that way, because anybody can come up with a theory that might overturn the current thinking. In fact younger scientists have typically been the ones to find new discoveries and theories throughout history.
So religion is not battling a well-drilled and hierarchical organization, but has chosen to set the word of God (so they believe) against a body of people based all over the world and involved in many scientific disciplines and endeavors, that use the most potent tool available to them, namely science, a method of finding out and learning.
It seems like people commenting on fstdt only get the general gist of the comment then proceed to attack it with really generic comments. If you read the post, he doesn't deny global warming but rather denies the effect humans have on it.
I certainly don't agree with him, being a member of the community he hates so much, but nobody here has addressed his post directly.
"I learned long ago that evolution debates just go in circles and nothing ever gets solved"
Because you won't accept common sense
"I’m not going to waste any more time on it"
that's good, idiocy is not a good thing to flaunt
"I do however...."
Lieing for Jebus is a sin punishable by hell...thought you said you weren't going to waste time on it.
This just all says "I refuse to accept knowledge, I cannot come up with anything to prove my points, I quit"
"I’m not attempting to make a scientific argument"
That's good because as of yet, you haven't made one. In fact, all you've done is spout gibberish.
Confused?
