and man rules over the animals.
We only rule the land. Most of the world is a hostile environment in which we cannot survive unassisted.
3/4 of the planet is covered with water, to an average depth of two miles. 99% of what lies beneath has never been directly seen by human eyes, and the animals that live there have, for the most part, never seen a human, either. And some of them include the largest, most intelligent predators ever to exist on this planet. You might try explaining your point of view to a giant squid, built like a torpedo, scary-smart and strong enough to tear steel. Nature's ultimate predator, so perfect that the fundamental design hasn't changed in nearly half a billion years. He would dispute your claim.
The ones we know about can hit 14 meters, but anecdotal evidence including fragments from the guts of sperm whales, scars on whale skin, and a handful of independent sightings indicate that there may be specimens in the 40 meter range...or larger. And at least one confirmed story from World War 2 suggests that giant squid will attack and kill humans given the chance.
I'm not even including the really obvious ones like the sharks (ever heard of Megalodon? Might even still be a few around), the jellyfish (which include some of the most unfathomably toxic animals ever to exist on Earth) or the stonefishes (which, given their body plan, in your world, had to have been designed specifically to maim and kill people and animals wading in shallow marine water like living poisoned punji sticks that can move around at random). Most of the planet is barely aware that we even exist.
Apes do not produce human descendants in reality nor does any wild beast.
And yet, your literalist interpretation of Genesis insists that men were made from dirt.
Man also turns to dust when his body decays.
Actually, other living organisms eat us for food.
As for the age of the earth, it's no coincidence that the dating instruments that date anything before the flood go haywire.
Out of sheer curiosity, I'd like to see how many radioisotope dating methods you're aware of besides carbon dating, and whether you have the slightest idea how any of them actually work.
That's because since scientists dismiss the flood about which over 200 ancient cultures have written,
Many ancient cultures lived near water for ease of irrigation, transport and convenience of travel. Ergo, many ancient culture would have myths and legends about floods, especially in areas were much of the land is low-lying flatland and farms. The Genesis flood story may be a retelling of the rise of sea levels following the Holocene glacial retreat, which inundated ancient coastlines and swallowed ancient civilizations. There were also extremely violent localized floods in southern Iraq at roughly the same timeframe, and some evidence that the Mediterranean Sea flooded into the Black Sea around 5600 BC.
it's impossible to date any object that's been affected by millions of gallons of water without understanding the affects that that much water has on any object.
You don't seem to be aware that, even if your global flood had actually happened, that it wouldn't have affected anything buried deep within the rocks of the crust.
So their claims about an old earth are bogus because they can't be proven nor verified by any ancient peoples.
Eyewitness accounts are trumped by verifiable physical evidence, which we have in some abundance. Or would you also argue that modern forensics are bogus, based as they are on the exact same techniques?
Why do I get the distinct feeling that you would?
