[The other ones on his site are equally messed up]

I don't get it. Why is there no guy in the picture but he's in the mirror? I get it that this is about people getting married rather than procreating out of wedlock, but.... what the fuck, I don't get it.
Until I read these comments, I had no idea what in the name of Jabootu that poster was supposed to be showing.
Mr. Gipp: if you want kids to follow the lessons in your posters, try, you know, hiring an actual artist instead of blindly spraying an airbrush at a canvas.
@TDR:
I think the woman sees the man in the mirror wearing a tuxedo because she is fantasizing about getting married. I think it's one of those fundie portrayals of unwed couples where the woman wishes they were married, but the man has no intentions of it. But yes, it's still fucked up.
"There are 3 million Muslims, 23 million Mexicans and untold others within our borders. Granted, by no means are all of these individuals hostile to the United States, but a great percentage are and many of the rest have been trained by the News Mafia to hate America."
Yes. The Mexicans are emigrating to America, through a border they risk getting lynched crossing, and work in poor conditions for substandard pay, because they really hate America.

The way I understand it, she's a kid dreaming about marriage, in a "good" quiverfull fundie family (7 kids in the picture), while the boys train for when they'll be old enough to exercise their "right" to bear murder tools. In the lower part of the picture, she marries her male equivalent (notice the size of the families in the background, these people clearly don't believe in family planning), a good little fundie boy. And of course, the "wait!" means that they both have been abstinent until their marriage.

Now normally I would have no problem with advising teens to read, quite the opposite, but of course the only thing the Gipp wants them to read is the Babble, and KJV only.
Then there is the matter of the violent imagery in most of these posters:
- tanks, fighter jets, predators showing their fangs/claws for the "read!" poster.
- the kids with (hopefully toy) machineguns in the "wait!" poster.
- a soldier shooting people and being rewarded for it.
- the KJV monster truck (the redneck sport if there ever was one, and a stupid waste of gas) litteraly crushing his opponents.
And so on... Rather revealing of their state of mind, wouldn't you agree?
On a side note, did you see the hate-mongering on their main page? Racism, homophobia, slander,...
I see this poster as a young girl (see how she looks younger and the dress is too big?) fantasizing about her future wedding while mom & dad (in the doorway) and a mass of siblings look on in approval. The later picture is of the girl marrying, and the crowd behind are the wedding guests (they're not all children). I think it's just a run-of-the-mill lameass "Wait Till Marriage Before Getting Your Sex On" poster. Thus the "True Honest Just Pure" commentary. Still gives me the creeps.
That is my analysis, so say I.
These posters are, from an artistic standpoint, far too cluttered and busy, it 's like looking at a "Where's Waldo" book.
Boy! Those cartoon people look so happy. I want to be just like them.
Adrian -- Yeah, and apparently Gipp wants teenage boys to stay in their violence-decor bedrooms, reading the KJV, instead of going outside to play ball.
The Man's Place is in the army, and the woman's place...
I love the... er... boy(?) in the upper half, in full battle armour and holding her gown. You just know he's thinking "Me next! I want to be beautiful next!"
The whole site is fucked up, full of homophobic, xenophobic, racist, hateful crap!
Teaching stuff like that to kids is tantamount to child abuse.
Adrian, I find the term you used for gun rather offensive. It's a weapon, it can be used to perserve life (such as innocent life, your family's life, etc) or it can be used to stage aggressive wars lik these people promote. More atheists need to arm themselves both with knowledge and weapons, these people grow more and more and have arsenals. We must be prepared to defend ourselves from these morons. Remember what happened to unarmed Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, etc. Though I admit the kids with guns is a little creepy, none of my toy guns looked THAT realistic. They were off-color or had an orange cap on them. Though I find this guy to be a crazy, militant who is a danger to us all. Ever the more reason to own and train
with a gun.
As for the following posters:
1.) "Wait" The guy not only looks like daddy (which explains the violent tendencies and redneck sports) but he is skipping.
2.) "Stand Tall" the soldier lost his helmet and his American flag is incorrect, it's supposed to be backwards to symbolize charging into battle (I was in the Army). Kind of funny how he's a saergeant (look at his Class A uniform, three Chevrons) and he lost his helmet and for fuck's sake, why does he have a bandoleer of ammo on? Who the hell uses that with an M-16? Though I like the Reflex Sight they have on it, nice. He's not a "Special Forces" solder, his beret is tan, which denotes Rangers. Rangers are not "Special Forces". You'd think a militant would know this. Though Rangers are bad ass in their own right.
3.) "Winner", completely explains their homophobic, racist, xenophobic, bigoted, etc. ideals. And monster trucks suck balls. In fact, all motor-sports are boring.
4.) "Contend" Who the hell names their band Barfpuke?! What are you, off of a Disney show? Ohhh, man that guy's hard, he named his band after two slang terms for vomit. Why not call yourself CrapShit? That's basically what this site offers intellectually.
5.) "Read", Good idea, wrong book.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
