It's true that there are some women out there who deliberately manipulate a man emotionally in order to make him "snap." A large amount of a woman's sense of personal power can come from her ability to get a man to do what she wants.
However, the vast majority of wife-beating cases don't involve this.
Well, if we truly abide by Biblical teachings, then I suppose the woman whose husband beats her has the right to kill him. That's what Naomi did to her husband in the Book of Ruth, isn't it?

Uh, while there are some women who like to manipulate men to get what they want (just as there are men who manipulate women), I doubt you'll ever find a woman who "deliberately" manipulates a man just to make him "snap", since the end result of his snapping would be that he'd beat the living SHIT out of her. All of the women I've known who've found themselves with abusers were all about keeping their heads down, walking on eggshells, and getting dinner on the table exactly as demanded until they could get the money together to get the fuck away from him.
