And there's the fail. 1. Evolutionary theroy cannot be "ego-centric" if you're also going to claim that it means that humans are not "god's" special creation and are just animals. 2. Evolutionary theory is not, in any interpretion, a "liberal" or a "leftist" theory. Scientific theories do not fit into a political or idealocical left/right framework. Just because you, as a conservative find it offensive does not mean it was formulated to attack your ideaology, and no amount of repeticious whining or special pleading will make it so.

The issue is that religion in general, and yours in specific, should not be taught as science in a science class, it is not science, creationism and ID have no theory, they have no data, and they make no predictions, all of which define a scientific theory. Also the teaching of creationism in a public, government funded school is a violation of the establishment clause of the US constitution.
