I can't think of *one single* modern invention that wasn't the product of either moderate Christians (the kind his misleading "Bible believing" qualifier is probably intended to exclude) or non-Christians.

Really? Is that so? I was sure being fooled. I mean I thought that modern medicine, particularly development of antibiotic and anti virals, had a lot to do with evolution.
It's silly I know but I thought it had something to do with microbes that cause illness *mutating* and such. Now of course these strains would thrive where the strains that are still susceptible to antibiotics would die, kind of like *natural selection*. Now if this process actually happened we'd need to develop new antibiotics, and knowledge of evolution would have some contributions to modern medicine, hence modern science/technology. Man those bio-tech professors had it all wrong, thanks for setting me straight.

History and technology fail. Guess what, numbnuts, while your kind put Europe in the dark ages, the Muslims were becoming the most advanced and civilized society on the planet. They contributed much, much more than you fucks could ever dream of. And for about the last 4-500 years it's been the atheists, agnostics, pantheists, and all other non-theists that have been pushing science and technology forward. Even when you do get the occasional xtian scientist, they are normally considered heretics by the xtian community at large. Look at Galileo, or Newton. Both considered evil heretics by the church. So was Copernicus. And so have nearly every major scientist in history. So please, do us and yourself a favor, and get the fuck over yourself. I thought being egotistical and bearing false witness were sins to you people.
I think the telling word used here is 'technology'

Unfortunately for Judahslying, evolution is behind some of the current crop of processor designs, and will be responsible for more of the next-gen designs. Genetic algorithms have been used to develop models of the Earth's inner core, detect cancer, simulate protein folding in pharmaceuticals, improve the results of multidimensional spectroscopy, design car engines (and jet engines), design car bodies, keep water supplies running, find new oil reserves, increase agricultural yields, route telephone calls, reduce shipping costs, to name but a few.
Apparently all these amazing results, based as their are on the practical application of evolutionary theory, are really the products of a faith-based religion.
If this were in fact the case, all Judahslying would have proved is that praying to Darwin works, whereas praying to his god doesn't.
I put forth (again) that Christians involved in scientific discovery and research are an entirely different or moderate Christians. Not literal or young Earth creationists
Fundamentalist literal Christians cannot work within the scientific method as they ignore evidence that violates their Fundamentalist world view. As this guy aptly demonstrates
"Good" science = cars, computers, religious TV, indoor plumbing, etc. AKA technology.
"Bad" science = genetics, biology, physics, etc.

Quite impossible, since the combination of doctrines required by modern fundies for a Christian to qualify as "bible-believing" didn't exist until the middle of the 19th century.
