Number of universities founded in the name of Christianity:

Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, The College of William and Mary, Notre Dame, Georgetown etc etc etc etc

In fact, Christianity INVENTED the idea of a university. Without Christianity, universities would not exist.

Too many to count. Look at the name of hospitals in this country, if you remove all of that have words like 'Saint', 'Presbyterian', 'Christian', 'Sacred Heart' etc, you would have very few left.

In fact, the very idea of a hospital is an invention of Christianity

People don't do aything in the name of atheism so it's always going to be 0 you dipshit. That doesn't mean there aren't a large number of atheists trying to do good things in the world. Of course, it's easy to ignore that when you only point at things done in times when atheists would've been killed by Christians for speaking out in an attempt to stomp upon rival ideas.

Btw, the Guinness Book of World Records gives the title of the oldest existing university to Al-Karaouine, which was a Muslim center (founded 859 CE). Meanwhile, European universities only begun to really make their mark in the 12th century CE. There were others before this, which no longer exist today, but they were few and far between and it's not something you can really give the Christian people credit for introducing. Rather you can only give them credit for playing a role in the process that made them what they've become in the Western World. For a long time the Muslim world beat Europe in education and it was only until the Industrial Revolution begun that they finally left them in the dust so to speak.

with the rise of Christianity. With the coming of Christianity into power the Dark Ages dawned upon Europe. During this era whatever progress that was achieved by the Greeks and the Romans received a set-back and came to a stand-still. Schools and centres of philosophy were closed down. The famed library at Alexandria was burnt down by a Christian mob led by a prelate. Hypatia the learned philosopher and teacher was dragged into a Church and her flesh was torn off her body. As a result of these barbarities Europe was plunged into the darkness of ignorance and poverty for a thousand years. The Dark Ages of European history was really the golden age of the Christian Church, because it did the conversion of the barbarians to Christianity during this time. The great philosophers and intellectuals of Europe who left their mark on human civilisation were all pre-Christian pagans who lived prior to the rise of Christianity, e.g. Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Seneca, Pliny, etc.
The Christian era was masked by an absence of such men. Illiteracy and religious intolerance prevailed during the Dark Ages.

That's largely a mischaracterization of the Middle Ages, as promulgated by folks living in the Renaissance.

Catholicism was pretty much the only show in town during the Middle Ages. After the Protestant Reformation in the Renaissance, the new Protestant authors took to the printing press (which the Catholics still couldn't seem to figure out) and cranked out books talking about how great their own time was and how primitive and backward the previous thousand years of Catholicism had been.

6. Romans killing all the white people.'

9. Bill Clinton killing all the unborn babies.
10. Andrew Jackson killing all the Indians.

If you look carefully, you'll see that in each case, it was atheists killing whatever they want. Atheist never brought us nothing else - but Christ's love has been the answer for all the world's troubles and it always will be.
