*Rapture Ready people afraid of the CNN hologram*
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Great. That's the LAST thing we need.

People can't deny this stuff for much longer
---
It's happening quickly
Won't be much longer

I agree about it being freaky. Everything is really coming together isn't it?

well CNN is doing the hologram thing... looks freaky, but not quite real..

Another thing: some "prophet" high on shrooms 2000 years ago might have been amazed by holographic technology (witchcraft, Satanic magic, demon possession, etc), but we in the modern age are able to comprehend the underlying technology with nary a thought given to magic. We're not likely to be duped into worshiping a hologram.
"looks freaky, but not quite real"
Well, it's not even a real hologram.
It was a green-screen effect, added in after the video had been taken, and only visible to the television audience.
Calling it a hologram is like calling a computer a hybrid [DELL], or saying a wind turbine is similar to a jet turbine engine [RUSH LIMBAUGH]
I don't usually get excited about technology but I thought the hologram was awesome.
Of course, I also realize that there is no such thing as the Antichrist, that makes it easier for me to enjoy things.
Fucking Hell! I saw a hologram in Micky's House, several in the Haunted Mansion and others in other places at Disneyland 12 years ago - I ran my hand right through some of them, and they were not really there.
So truly Walt. must be the antichrist. His Cryogenically frozen self will arise and he will become the true evil which will bring about the rapture.
Or something. Morons!

@ Darwin's Lil' Girl:
I'm picturing First Contact here.
"Please state the nature of political emergency."
"A bunch of fundies are about to completely flip out. We need time to come up with more witty retorts. Create a diversion!"
"This isn't part of my program! I'm a reporter, not a forum moderator."
Enough, now I'm convinced...
Rapture Ready doesn't exist...
No more I can beleave that such idiotic people really exist!!!
I'm sure RR is the most colossal Poe site of history....
And I begin to suspect that the people who run fstdt are the real creators of RR..... So all I can say.. is.. this is genius.. pure genius at work!.... Congratulations, you even fooled me for a while...;)
It wasn't a real hologram though! It was only there to make it seem as though the reporter wasn't in the building!
Oh, why do I even bother anymore?
It wasn't even a real hologram, you stupid cavemen!!
The Lazy One: She wasn't in the building, she was in Chicago. But she was standing in front of a green screen with several cameras filming her, then computer special effects to make her look translucent. It's cool technology, but not a "hologram" in the sci fi sense of the word.
Is this even a true hologram (as in a projection of light right there in the studio) or is it just a computer effect?
These people are terrified of everything. It's a wonder they've managed to use their televisions and computers without collapsing into the fetal position.
I wish these people would learn that it's possible to say you don't like something without calling it evil, satanic, a sure sign of the impending Rapture, etc. (I say this as someone who found it weird, ugly, and distracting.)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
