No, persons who study the evidence are not as ignorant as those who simply claim Goddidit.
"There was no Earth before man."
Prove it. I'm sure we're all be anxious to see your proofs published in a peer-reviewed, scientific journal. You just drop me a line when that happens, K'?
Since the Bible is not a credible history book, I'd say your statement, apart from it contradicting your scriptures, defies reality.
You fail.
But... but... evidence... fossils... carbon dating... *weeps*
Case in point: either your Skydaddy is a deceitful snake who likes to trick people into believing something that isn't true - which would make him the most influential dickhead that ever "lived" - or evolution happened. Deal with it.
After further reading, I don't think this guy's mishegoss is Christian per se -- he seems to be an extreme (and very ignorant) advocate of some form of the Tipler Strong Anthropic Principle, with heavy doses of New Age idiocy replacing Tipler's already sketchy scientific foundation; later in the thread he does, in fact, acknowledge that his view is non-Biblical. It wouldn't be too surprising to find out that this guy is a hardcore Last Thursdayist (not a given, just not surprising) and very possibly a solipsist. Unless...
I'm not too sure about including quotes from NationStates on this site. From my own personal experience as a player a number of years ago (I was Flobossia, in the Wysteria region, which was inhabited by hardcore roleplayers), there's quite a mix of straight-up players and serious roleplayers, and I wouldn't be surprised if, even on the forums, it's hard to tell the difference between real-life views and kayfabe (for lack of a better word). So... I'm not sure this one can be meaningfully rated.
Existentialism, although it can be fun in a stoned argument, is not a defensible, valid proof for creation or anything else for that matter. It is a totally subjective concept.
Then what are all these dinosaurs doing in the ground? And before you say "They died in the Great Flood," explain why they're separated into all these neat layers and why they're never found with human remains (and no, the Paluxy River tracks weren't made by humans, so don't even try it).
Through a profound look at the word 'history,' there was indeed no history before man - that's why we call it pre history. And guess what? There's prehistory. And if you're looking at the Bible, there were six to seven whole literal or metaphorical days before man!
Hey, Braindead Elite, I think someone is spraying your weed with PCP.
This is just stunning. I, I...I got nothing but sadness. I think I need a hug.
Brian X: This is from the General forum on NationStates, where roleplay isn't allowed. If it was from a place where roleplay was allowed, like II, then I'd agree.
"Ah, but advocates of evolution are just as ignorant of history...There was no Earth before man."
But there was the Infinite Improbability Drive.

Umm, there has to be an earth in order for there to be man. If man came before the earth, then what the hell does he live on? Seriously, even the Bible agrees that the earth was here before humans!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
