But as a Christian, this is a critical point that you need to grasp: the concepts of right and wrong are defined by God, and He can change His definitions any time He wants.
Today God says it’s wrong for a father to chop off his son’s finger. But should God suddenly announce tomorrow that all Christian fathers must chop off their son’s fingers, then an activity which used to be wrong would suddenly become right. You see, morality is not a fixed issue, it is a fluid issue, but it is one that only God gets to define.

Most Christians "Gods laws are absolute, he never changes his mind."
Anna, "God can change his mind any time he wants."
should God suddenly announce tomorrow
I have it on good authority that God announces his "eternal revisions" (which are intended to "make the universe great again") on his Twitter account, @annadiehl, under #reabsolute.
I thought it was defined by whatever your personal feelings are on any given subject. Because if Jesus says you must love all sinners, but you don't feel like loving those, then clearly Jesus is wrong.

A very handy excuse for any schizophrenic who says God told him to burn down an abortion clinic, or a video store that rents out porn DVDs... or a church that's of a different denomination from yours. Unfortunately it doesn't work in court.
It must be fantastic for christians to teach their children about the dangers of peer pressure....
"If your friends jumped off a bridgd would u do that too? I hope not, unless you think jesus told you to...."

Pre-WWI, your 'God' had no opponents.

See how that fixed Scripture: Judges 1:19 works to our advantage now?
We say it's not wrong to make your 'God' our bitch. And with the above Challenger II Iron Chariot's 120mm cannon, remove his finger? Meh. We can blow your 'Father's bollocks off. Is that wrong, Annie...?!
...and now you realise how unjustifiable your way of thinking is, if your answer is the only one possible.

What you're describing isn't morality at all, it's blind obedience and a complete abdication of moral responsibility.

However, you can't appeal to your God without acknowleding His creator, Zeebab. You see, it is he who created your God in the first place, and it is he who gives him his powers.
What's that? You don't accept my claims at face value?
Imagine that.
So then, why should we follow God, if everything is provisional?, in which sense does it articulates our lives?
Confused?
