Science and religion are two very different things. When dealing with non-tangible things, emotional or supernatural stuff, you turn to a god. When dealing with hard reality, facts, results and such, you turn to science.
Yeah, I kind of do like Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking more than Peter and Paul. Hawking and Darwin have contributed to our understanding of the universe. That's what science does. It's science that gives us modern technology. It's why you have can have a computer and the internet.
Peter and Paul, in my opinion, didn't contribute to our understanding of the universe. Paul was an outright misogynist and . . . well, I don't find Paul very likable (you know he was a murderer before he converted, so really, the fact that he wasn't a very pleasant person even after conversion doesn't surprise me.)

So I take it that you will stop using anything related science - like the internet, electricity, antibiotics, modern medicine, transport, global communication, heating, etc, and go and live in a hut made out of simple materials and hunt and gather your food?

The only power science has is (via scientists) to give us facts, based on empirical evidence. If this results in a so-called 'God' becoming more & more irrelevant in today's world (compared to, say, pre-Renaissance times), then tough titty. That's the way the human progress biscuit crumbles, I'm afraid. Either get with the program, or get out of our modern world, fundies. And if your so-called 'God' can't even do something to protect himself from the onslaught of facts & evidence - i.e. prove said evidence wrong by himself - then he has no place in peoples' thinking.
Just ask Zeus, Jupiter, Amun-Ra, Huitzilopochtli, Odin, you name 'em. Indeed, ask your 'God'. Because he'll soon be joining these other fictional deities in the Abyss of Human Irrelevance.
