Oh yeah, I forgot how jesus was host of the first Miss World Pageant. Of course, they weren't aware of what the rest of the world consisted of, but that didn't stop them from claiming that a flood covered the whole world at one time.
Why on Earth would a fundy want a Christian woman in the Miss World Pageant? The clothing is "immodest", the show inspires "vanity" in young women, and most of the winners get scholarships of some kind to further their education. I didn't think fundies supported that.
Given the forum on which this was posted, I strongly suspect that the comment about it being an insult to Christianity is purely a rhetorical device. His problem is the fact that Australia's representative at the Miss World Pageant is a Muslim, rather than that she is not a Christian.
Not the fucking persecution complex again.
