True. Just as it doesn't eliminate Jews' rights not to be shot at - as Palestinians do every so often.
Of course not; that's the whole point. Human rights are human rights, and violating them is not okay, regardless of who the victim is. Again: reasons, not excuses. Just because someone is in a bad position doesn't mean that any action taken against anyone who might have anything to do with that position is justified. I believe I said that in my last comment.
That's not what I am saying.
It doesn't appear to be what you're saying now, no. On the other hand, I have to wonder why you decided to argue about whether it was appropriate to use "Palestinians" rather than acknowledging the point - which was the displacement, from the beginning.
they cannot claim to be a part of nation of Palestine and claim that they owned that land first at the same time. It is either one or the other.
So they owned the land...they lived there their whole lives...a new country was created...and by taking citizenship, or condsidering themselves part of the new country, they automatically erase their history and forfeit any claim to their property? What's the logic there? And if you're applying it across the board, doesn't that mean the Jews you were talking about who lived there prior to the creation of Israel would also have to choose between being Israeli and having been there first?
Please point a moment in time when there was an independent Arab state called Palestine before 1948
You're still doing it! This is not about names. This is about people. No one cares if there was an independent state called Palestine there or not. There were people there, who had a place, and a culture, and a society, and ignoring the people to prattle on about lines on a map, is missing the point. We aren't arguing for the right of Palestine to exist as a country, we're arguing for the right of people to live in their own homes, and own their own property, and not be driven out and kept out so that the government can control its demographics. That's called ethnic cleansing, and it's not okay! Pretending otherwise and trying to confuse the issue with semantics does not win you any points.
