Yeah, especially considering that a pedo is more likely to be a priest, minister or other religious leader, than a mainstream homosexual.
You know, even if you were generous and thought he meant "1 percent of the general population is a pedo, and 4 percent of the population is homosexual" this would still be wrong solely on the basis of an erroneous assumption that 100% of pedophiles are gay.
Of course, that's NOT what he said, but even if we were giving him a HUGE leash to work with, he'd still be wrong.

If anyone were ever in any doubt as to which side is rational and reasonable, they need only to look at non-fundies, who comprise some of the greatest thinkers on the planet, and then at fundies, who don't even know how percentages work and think that women have acres of tiny baby corpses in their wombs.
If one percent of "homos" are "pedos" then one of every 100 "homos" is a "pedo". That is what one percent means, stupid. If one in four were pedo, then it would be 25 percent.
What we do have is statistics from the ones who are caught molesting kids. If memory serves, about 45 percent are heterosexual, 50 percent have no adult sexuality at all and 5 percent are homosexual.

Although I highly doubt that your stats are correct, let's assume that they are for the sake of argument.
(1 gay pedophile/100 gays) X (4% gays in the population) = 0.04% gay pedophiles in the population, NOT 1 in 4.
But this is beside the real point: so what?
If you're trying to draw a correlation between gays and pedophiles, you'd better take a look at the number of straight pedophiles, too--yet you've completely ignored that.
Let's say that your math wasn't completely fucked, and that 25% of gays actually were pedophiles. What do you propose? If you're trying to propose mistreatment of gays on the grounds that they MIGHT be a pedophile, you're being *completely* unreasonable.
