[Isn’t banning gay marriage just like banning interracial marriage?]
Not at all! Being black or white, Hispanic or Asian is not like being homosexual. Again, no academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable, as are race, nationality or gender.
But this assertion really implies that opponents to same-sex marriage are bigots and that is not true. They simply believe marriage is between men and women for good reason.

No academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that race is unchangeable, as are nationality or gender. What? You say it has? I say it hasn't, and I'm not convinced yet. That's what it all hangs on, right?
"They simply believe marriage is between men and women for good reason."
Screaming, "it's icky, it's icky!" And throwing yourself on the floor bawling for thirty minutes does not count as a good reason.
"Again, no academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable, as are race, nationality or gender." Well, virtually every major psychiatric institution rejects the idea of homosexuality being mutable.
"They simply believe marriage is between men and women for good reason.[/]"
Which would be...?
Okay, what is the good reasons? "God or I don't like it" are not acceptable, they are personal and not universal reasons, so let's hear them! ........We'll wait............Still waiting.................Still here.......Anybody there????

Gender? People can get sex change operations now, so by your logic heterosexual marriages should be banned because gender is not unchangeable.
So, banning interracial marriage and banning gay marriage are completely different, because being homosexual isn't unchangable?
It is about as changable as race. Nationality, in fact, is easier to change than sexual orientation.
Oh, and the opponents of same sex marriage are bigots, because their reason for why they believe that marriage is between a man and a woman are usually retarded, and belie a simple hatred of the butt seckz.
...homosexuality is unchangeable, as are race, nationality or gender.
Nationality is changeable. In America we call it "naturalization".
Your use of the word "gender" in this context is incorrect. Gender is used in reference to words in certain languages such as French and Spanish. I believe what you meant to say is that sex is unchanbeable. Unfortunately for you a person's sex is subject to change. I'd be happy to direct you to several adult sites which will present robust photographic evidence to support my assertion.
There's only one race on planet Earth, dumbass--it's called the Human race.
Again, no academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable, as are race, nationality or gender.
Yes... The American Medical Association, and the American Psychological Association have.
Hey, Glenn, you mean anyone can change skin color "if he really wants to"? Your religion is doing weird things to your brain, buddy.
Race could be considered to be changeable as well (at least the phaenotypus, i.e. looking like a member of a certain race).
Look at Michael Jackson, I think with his hundreds of plastic surgeries he has removed all of the traits that identify him as a black person.
So we can go on and forbid interracial marriages as well again. After all a black person can, if he/she loves a white person of the other gender just take the necessary steps (cosmetic surgeries) to remove the traits identifying him as a member of the Negro race.
Courts don't establish SHIT.
Science is where the truth is found, and dammit, the shrinks all disagree with your dumbass.
no academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable
Actually they have, but people like you simply ignore the evidence, because it doesn't support your preconceived ideas.
And yet they've never given that 'good reason'. I guess it's so good that they need to keep it for themselves.
As to your convoluted assertion that 'no academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable, as are race, nationality or gender.' It is no tthe duty of courts to decide this matter because contrary to your ignorance on the matter, psychologists did in fact decide collectively that homosexuality (and heterosexuality or bisexuality for that matter) is immutable after countless years of studying and experimenting on a 'cure'. If, by chance, they do ever find the cause and/or 'cure' for homosexuality, it would be at best ethically gray to use it to change who people are to the same degree that it's unethical (or ethical if that's how you roll) to change any other innate aspect of a person. I could see reason to do it if it's detectable before birth or so, but again, you'd be playing God which I hear you folk don't like too much what with the insisting people suffer with potentially treatable/cureable ailments because current science requires the use of cell clusters from what used to be a potential human.
"Again, no academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable"
Have you ever tried using google before making these bold assertions?
Not at all! Being black or white, Hispanic or Asian is not like being homosexual. Again, no academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable, as are race, nationality or gender.
Yet Michael Jackson was once black, but is now white. Surely, race is now just as much a choice as sexual orientation?
But this assertion really implies that opponents to same-sex marriage are bigots and that is not true.
Yes, it is.
They simply believe marriage is between men and women for good reason.
No, you don't.
Nationality is very changeable. You move, give up your citizenship in your previous country and gain citizenship in your new country. Some people have more than one Nationality. Gender is also changeable. Hence gender reassignment surgery. Race is questionable. Look at Tiger Woods, everyone calls him black for some reason, yet genetically he's 1/2 Asian with the rest being white, African-American, Caribbean, and Native American. So I believe your analogy fails.
Again, no academic institution in the world nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable, as are race, nationality or gender.
Sorry, but there is no proof that such therapies to change sexual orientation actually work.
But this assertion really implies that opponents to same-sex marriage are bigots and that is not true. They simply believe marriage is between men and women for good reason.
And what good reason would that be? Because an ancient book of barbaric teachings tells you so?
"...nor any U.S. court has ever established that homosexuality is unchangeable, as are race, nationality or gender. "
Micheal Jackson, Arnold Shwarzenegger and thousands of transgender people would like to have a word with you.
Confused?
