You can't place a child into a homosexual couple, but you can place it with them, in their household. I'd say it's a great idea, and highly beats growing up in an orphanage, or living on the street, or having to resort to prostitution to survive.
If you're about to give up your child for adoption, then your religious beliefs have some merit. If not, your belief have no impact on either the biological parents, or the adoptive parents. You do realize that giving up your child for adoption is GIVING UP your rights to that child, right?
So, you want your child to be forced to resort to prostitution to survive? Got it.
There are more children living on the street than there are adoptive parents, sure, but there are still suitable couples who want to adopt but don't get to adopt. You know why the children live in the street, asshole? Because countries have stupid rules about adoptive children must grow up with Christian/Muslim/Hindu/etc parents, or no adoptions granted to countries where same sex marriages are allowed (regardless of whether the couple in question are gay or straight).
