But simply reproducing lowers that originsm's chance of survival by increasing competition. So natural selection would favor those things that did not reproduce and therefore did not create competition for survival.

No, and if nothing else the parent organism may be eaten by it's parents. Plus, smaller creatures aren't going to claim the food of a larger one if the larger one is starving. Besides, for natural selection to work, something has to actually come into being. How could there be natural selection among non-reproducing organisms? They would exist adn then they wouldn't. Natural selection is the selection of which living things survives. Is any of this getting through? Most of this should've been touched on in school. Besides, many organisims have what is known as a 'hive mentality' in which the whole group is more important then the individual. Therefore if some need to die to ensure the life of the hive then so be it. I'm sure that there are plenty of books on the subject at a place called the internet, or in a building called a 'library'. The best part is, most of this information is free to learn, and then you won't have to assert your made-up asssumptions as truth.
Correct, so please don't reproduce, and tell your friends not to as well, if all goes well you'll be on top within a century.
Things that do not reproduce stay constant, and run into deep trouble once the environment changes. And the environment changes constantly.
Reproduction and the life/death cycle is one of the most powerful manifestations of evolution. Anything conservative will die out sooner or later because it gets hopelessly outdated. This should make you think, my dear fundies.

Um, yes. But by reproducing, that improves the chance that the gene pool will survive. And that’s the whole point of evolution. Living long enough to produce another generation.

Noooooo. Selection favors succeeding generations. Not immortal individuals.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
